Let me know how it works out for you since you're obviously in desperate need of it. While you're at it, Roy said he wants his shorts back.

Horrible trade. Great he can block. He was brought here as a go to receiver, which he isnt.

Hindsight is 20/20!

I'll can tell you the winning lottery numbers the following day.

And, I can tell you which horse will win after the race.

The superbowl winner? Just call me the day after the big game.

Get real!

I think a lot of Cowboys fans were concerned about the trade long before Roy even stepped on the field.

I'd rather have Roy than any WR on that list. His downfield blocks have been great and he is moving the chains when thrown to him. Only getting better.

Is he still going to the pro bowl?

I think he will, but if he doesn't, so what? Not going to be the end of the world.

How do you know that for sure Hos? Huh? So what the sun came up the day after last year's Philly game. What does that prove?

Oh, nevermind.

Nicks is racking up garbage stats.

Britt is a stud but Harvins a perfect fit for us.

The bigger problem is the $45M extension. No hard ball?

Cant believe the Romo hate. Our WR's dont get seperation. He cant put every one on a dime whilst avoiding 1-2 rushers(probably off the edge)

I have already said on numerous occasions that I don't care about his contract. You might as well piss on a spark plug as to keep harping on it when responding to me. You'll get a better charge that way.

Wait what?

Me and you had this pegged before anyone else. In fact, I called the 1 and 3 price tag. But thr contract matters.

Could have been Harvin and Suggs. Maybe....hopefully.....or Darren Sharper....idk

I'd rather have Roy too but it ain't saying much by the talent level on that list.

Who cares about how much Roy is getting paid? I hate when fans bring up that aspect of determining a players worth. Roy's contract is not hurting us and hasn't and won't prevent us from signing anyone. I agree with those that feel Roy is the best player on that list. Those guys are a gamble at best. Harvin looks solid but that's in the Vikings system. People need to give Roy the year before they right him off. It will only save yourself from looking like a fool later on. Roy will be fine. Especially if Miles Austin is as good as we think he MAY be.

I agree that Roys production will increase over time.

But my point abouy the contract isnt jealousy. Hes overpaid by like 25%. We could have put that money somewhere else.

Thats the kind of thing that reflects poorely on Jerry. Add in the $9M burned on T.O. this year and it hurts the '09 Cowboys.

I'm going to respectfully disagree because Jerry shouldn't pay a WR 45 million dollars to downfield block. He hasn't had a positive impact in the passing game and Roy had one solid year in Detroit under Mike Martz' system, who ran the ball probably 5% of the time lol. Roy had lingering injury concerns in Detroit as well. I bet Lions fans are saying, "yup we went through the same thing." I know the rib injury was Romo's fault, but all I'm saying is Roy has a history of injuries because of his neglecting attitude to lift weights and protect his body. Wasn't there a quote from him that said he didn't even touch a weight till he got to the NFL? That's ridiculous and unacceptable as a WR in the NFL.

:laugh2: Classic!

If there were no salary cap, I wouldn't care about player salaries either.

But there is.

I think that this has been an issue for a while now, kind of an era thing.

It's actually part of the definition of a player's relative worth, it's not subjective.

You can't put injury into the equation because anyone would have been injured on that hit, and you can't predict every injury.

No, but you can determine if a player is injury-prone. A player that was injured essentially the entire time he was here last year, a player that was injured in pre-season and that has only managed to make it through one out of 6 seasons w/o missing games is probably somewhat injury prone. Although his injuries as a Cowboy were not part of the selection equation, there was ample evidence that this guy had a hard time staying healthy prior to coming here.

Granted, unlike Crabtree, Roy got to practice with Tony even before training camp commenced, but uhm....

Roy need time.

Roy needs opportunites.

Look, the problem here with Roy is a similar one to that of Romo and TO.

Romo/Garrett and company didnt use TO to his strengths and that is happening here with Roy. Whats worse here is that TO got opportunities atleast. Roy is not getting many.

Rightnow....
Romo is off.
When Romo is on its all about Witten - that is fine.
BUT Roy needs to get some touches. He can make things happen.

Roy haters will enjoy some medium rare crow by seasons' end.

You know, every time you insert common sense in the middle of a perfectly irrational fantasy, it just makes me MAD..

:banghead:

It's so annoying..
