Absolutely amazing!

Both Brady and BB gushed over Romo as well. How many rings did he retire with? I see the SAME thing happening to Dak. A great career and NO RINGS. Bottom line is we lost the game.

I know we lost, but I'm feeling optimistic about this season. I think the defence will develop nicely (people forget we also didn't have Gallimore). The special teams HAS to get better. That's our biggest weakness. But the offense was GREAT! Also, I lost the game (Tee-hee)

I see some serious flip-flopping going on here.

Some seriously doubted before the game the Cowboys had any chance of keeping the game close. After the game, all ecstatic, suddenly full believers and calling the coaches legit.

LOL

Better late than never.

I had a friend rip me for saying it would be a one score game into the 4th. Big time. And yes, I drunktexted him during the game in wonderment at how right I'd been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought the defense was great to be honest. Jaylon Smith is going to be riding the bench a lot. Almost EVERY time he got in the game they had to take him right out. Brown sucks bad like we all know he does. Biggest weakness on the D.

This game was lost badly by the special teams. And then of course we just have Brady. They also destroy us at TE.

Jarwin couldnt block before this game and still cant block. Missed a key block on that Zeke non TD by the GL in the 2nd half. I see Shultz playing more in the coming weeks.
Jarwin makes that assigned block and Zeke probably gets in.
Question Ive always had with TEs that are labeled as non blocking TEs, they dont have to be 1 dimensional maulers, all Jarwin had to do was bump the defender and stay in his way for a brief moment.
I know its just game 1, but all this talk about Jarwin being so much more dynamic as a receiving threat than Schultz doesnt hold much water with me,, Schultz proved last season that he can catch, and also
not afraid to block when the play call dictates that responsibility.

gotta run the football more.

can’t win without the ground game.

Sure you can win and we almost did. Almost impossible to run the football against Tampa. Just look at what happened when we did try.

Celebrating a loss as if it's a participation trophy. Welcome to society today.
Just celebrating that we didnt get blown out 32 - 6, that was enough to at least prove that this team is much better than most assumed.
Winning comes first, but this team hasnt been a part of that club for a long time.
IF, and its a big IF... this team can play with that kind of energy and smart game planning,, the wins will start stacking.
So while not celebrating I get, but optimism for once in a very long time can not be denied

I was not expecting to win but from the start of the game I thought we had a shot. Then the missed FG. I told my wife we will lose by 3 or less. That FG would cost us the game.

Special teams ultimately was the difference. Our bad ST and their great ST.

Its blatantly obvious that Shultz is the better TE.

The whole offense and OC have to get better in the red zone. Quinn has to figure out how to get pressure and push in the middle.

Was the logical game plan going in, so I applaud Moore for his game plan.
He took advantage of the matchups that were obvious,, trying to run inside, without our pro bowl Guard would have been a fools errand, and the final score would have been much different.

Moore said it clearly in TC. Whether its passing 50 times a game or running 50 times in the game, he is going to do whatever is needed to win the game. After nearly 20 years of watching Garrett have NO game plan its so amazing to watch Moore do his work. The guy is a genius. Watching all his cool plays is great. I hope we can hang onto him. Needs to be the next HC here in Dallas.

Had Garrett been either the HC or OC for this tame we probably lose something like 41-17.

More well rounded TE, and imagine we see him more involved now, esp with Collins situation.

With Gallup out also we may see more 2 TE sets. I see a havier dose of the run game coming up next week at the Chargers.

The short leash has been removed from Moore, and we got to see how creative this offense can be... stay tuned, moore to come.. pun intended.

The other half of the fan base will see his creativity in the run game as well. When the game plan calls for it. I expect to see Moore of that next week at the Chargers.

losses aren't amazing
There have been years that they won game 1 against a bad team but it was an ugly win that predicted an ugly season

The specifics of this loss projects for a good season.

Winning in the NFL is not about 1 game.

In college 1 loss can be the end of championship aspirations but not in the NFL.

Tampa with many older players and all starters returning might have been at their peak in game 1 due to a full offseason of rest.

The Cowboys with a complete remake on defense might have been at their worst for the season.

Toe to toe with the world champs . I thought it was a great game. If we meet again I believe we beat them

I think we should have won but it’s also thought to pick Tom Brady off twice in a game. Highly unlucky that happens twice in a row.

That 1 pick Dak had was not his fault because it hit CeeDee on the hands. But it was in triple coverage.
