"It makes me look like crap," Williams said. "The only thing that keeps me going is cause I know I’m not. I know what I am. I know what people are trying to make me be. I know I’m not that."

Williams has no answers when asked to explain the difference between his numbers and those of receiver Miles Austin. Williams has 14 catches for 249 yards and two touchdowns. Austin has 26 catches for 563 yards and six touchdowns.
"He gets the ball thrown correctly," Williams said. "I’m stretching, falling, doing everything. My balls are everywhere."

Tim MacMahon is writing direct quotes.

And his readers read it and don't like what they hear coming from the players mouth.

But it's Tim MacMahon who is in the wrong here.

:laugh1:

First we say the messenger is a liar.

Then we shoot him when we find out the message was legit.

Why would anyone want to deliver messages to Cowboy's fans?

:laugh2:
You know what, it's literally to the point that I regret even posting or reading a thread about Roy Williams. I know the same people are going to make mountains out of molehills and go full scale hyperbole.

Please, everyone forget I ever responded in this thread. I will try and avoid all future threads if I can.

Enjoy your with hunt DC. The thread is yours and your fellow finger pointers. You have the last word. Accuse me of whatever you want. I will not respond no matter how wrong I feel you are.

There is no story here, but by all means get worked up and go for broke.

You'd be hard pressed to find too many negative topics about the Cowboys in which you weren't "on the side" of negativity. It's to a point where people question whether you're even a Cowboys fan.

There are people that are unfairly criticized as "negative nancys", but bbgun you can't quite make that claim.

That's just reality.

You say this as if he's completely off base about being negative at points with things surrounding this team.

You and the homer squad are do deep in the minority it's not even funny.

What percentage of the fan base believes that this team can go into Philly and win this next game based on what they have seen over the last few seasons?

Does everyone see the light bulb that just went off above Theo's head...

Sad thing is the "Story" is Roy Williams hasn't produced in 16 games with the Cowboys.

I sure hope 2010 stays uncapped so we can dump this stiff.

Funny how Austin doesnt have a problem with how Romo throws the ball.

How many Pro Bowls has Witten made with Romo throwing the ball?

No. You're wrong about that.

SOME people are automatic to accept the worst of Roy Williams so it can fit into their little " I told you so " agendas.

Orly Taits could come out on FIX News claiming that Roy Williams is not a citizen, therefor he shouldn't be allowed to play for the Dallas Cowboys, and THIS people would swallow it bait, hook, and zinker, and smile afterwards.

He didn't get to Hostiles' apology yet, lol.

And I'll never understand why not being a reliable stooge for all things Valley Ranch puts you in the "hater/negative nancy/go find a new team" squad.

If the situation calls for it, we will. Perhaps you overlooked the 24-7 media whiners.

Yep, what bothers me more than anything is that Jerry overpaid for an underchieving veteran wide receiver .... in 2000.

Eight years later, he made the same mistake.

I was ok with the trade last year, until I saw what Dallas gave up. Just too much.

it's not about "i told you so's". Get over yourself. Its about the fact that he's not performing at all. Posters would love to back this guy and support him. Point is they cant because he's a crap wr, egomaniac, who is doing his best TO impression.

like i said hos, when you're a bullet hunter, when you get one, you never give it back. and noticing things like this make you a pompom squad member when truth be told i think we lost out on the roy williams trade and we'll start our search next year - barring some serious unforeen play from roy.

so no, i don't care for the dude. but i don't need to run around going HE SUCKS HE SUCKS HE SUCKS every chance i get either.

So what made this a big thread: The direct quotes from Roy Williams or the accusations by you that Tim MacMahon was a liar?

We all know the answer.

Not sure how that works, but I'm so onboard with that. The guy is a chump. The only reason he's relevant is because he makes 45 million and was traded for a first rounder.

It's like this, I watch the video and Roy is smiling, polite with reporters, honest. I read McMahon's commentary and you would think exactly the opposite was true. Mosely uses the same quote as MacMahon, but does he come across as Roy is throwing Romo under the bus? Archer doesn't even use the quote. All 3 of them admit (MacMahon via GAC) that Roy is not being negative or pointing fingers.

Where is the hype for the story?

I'll tell you where. In the name of the player. If nothing is wrong, invent something wrong and use hyperbole to maximize the shock value.

That to me is sensationalism and as usual, some people ate it up. Typical.

I get that. And I know the rick with a P's, the usual suspects in the media are waiting to hang him.

But for me I still find him irritating because I think he could squash it all. But he doesnt because he does throw those little things out there.

Its not sensationalism if he directly throws his qb under the bus, like he did on the hardline.

I dont think its a big deal because this has been his way off fending off negative comments since he has been here, its just the usual, so honestly it doesnt matter.

he got boo'd at both home games. People recognize there is an issue with him and they are letting him know. So he is feeling even more pressure to get it out there how good he is.

I just wish he didnt care so much what the fans think, He is still helping the team and I have to believe he will improve, so just worry about that. Just talk about the group as a whole.

When he has a big game and plays well, the media will trip over themselves to congratulate him.

I was NOT going to respond, but this is an outright lie. The video was posted in post #73. I did not respond for many posts beyond that.

The thread was already BIG before I ever shot my mouth off in it.
