You'd be hard pressed to find too many negative topics about the Cowboys in which you weren't "on the side" of negativity. It's to a point where people question whether you're even a Cowboys fan.

Sigh. Once again, Theo throws the first punch by butting into a conversation I'm having with someone else, forcing me to respond. Seriously, this is getting pathological (not to mention ironic, considering the "ego" barb you throw at me earlier). Remind me to review those stalking/harassment guidelines later.

FYI, this thread had nothing to do with "loving the team team," as it were. It was about common decency and withholding judgment until you had all the facts. Yet somehow I'm the heavy. Neat trick, but not below you considering your love affair with vile cheapshots.

There are people that are unfairly criticized as "negative nancys", but bbgun you can't quite make that claim.

That's just reality.

Sorry, but "optimism" and "negativity" is a week to week proposition. You do well, you get praised. You don't, you get bashed. Crazy, huh? If Roy is being an *******, I'm gonna point that out regardless of the current w-l record, as if that makes a damn bit of difference. Then again, I'm speaking to a classic Jerry enabler who routinely lines the man's pockets at JerryWorld. You're part of the problem.

Yep, what bothers me more than anything is that Jerry overpaid for an underchieving veteran wide receiver .... in 2000.

Eight years later, he made the same mistake.

I was ok with the trade last year, until I saw what Dallas gave up. Just too much.

I don't claim to be an expert on football but i know what i see. Galloway got hurt right off the bat so i'll give the trade a pass and he did bounce back on another team. When Key got here i saw a slow off the line overrated guy that just wasn't that good. Then Glenn came and he was a baller and you could see it right away. So was TO for 2 years. Then i watch Roy and i see a very VERY average guy. If you took the guy in the 1st you'd be calling him a bust like Carp, nevermind what we gave. I really did think Roy was better than he's shown, but i have to go with my eyes on this one.

When did MacMahon say Roy was a hooting and a hollering when making these comments?

:laugh2:

He didn't.

You guys are just making stuff up about MacMahon now.

That's classic.

And did you just say BBgun was acting ********?

You are the same guy who tried to call out Broaddus for not criticizing Keith Brooking in his podcast yesterday for his play against the Seahawks.

Brooking led the team with 11 tackles and also had a sack.

That's ********.

Yes I did and stand by it. He called out guys like Siavii and Igor for not having very good games when they infact played pretty well and were very instrumental in stopping the run. Then he goes on and on about Brooking when he was responsible for 2 of the longest runs we gave up.

I love Brooking and think he was one of our best offseason aquisitions. I also think he had a great game. I just called out Broadus based on the context of his other analysis.

Let him know I didn't mean it mean spiritedly next time on a show.

Jason Witten has been a perennial pro bowler with Romo throwing the ball to him.

Terrell Owens was a pro bowler and arguably the best WR in the NFL in 2007, with Romo throwing the ball to him.

Miles Austin has had one of the best 3 game runs as a starter in Dallas history, with Romo throwing the ball to him.

A JAG like Pat Crayton has put up respectable #s, with Romo throwing the ball to him.

But we're all supposed to believe that the problem with Romo to Williams is Tony Romo? Or that the problem is the discontented underachiever for whom our idiot GM paid a king's ransom to acquire?

There's really nothing to debate unless you're a helpless homer or a UTx fan, pining away for the Roy Williams of 6 years ago.

He didn't get to Hostiles' apology yet, lol.

I don't need to. I stand by my post 100% and this threat is THE perfect example of it.

SOME of you saw a quote and ASSume the worst because it came from Roy Williams. Since SOME of you have been harping for over a year how bad the trade is, it fits into your little " I told you so " agendas and that will ALWAYS be the case no matter what Roy Williams does OR says.

It's a thread in which multiple posters are talking to one another. I've been talking to you this entire thread.

How is it at abnormal that I would respond to your post even if it wasn't directed at me? If you don't want others commenting on your posts, SEND YOUR MESSAGES VIA PM.

But of course you'll never do that. You're too vain.

You're the one that brought up the hater/cheerleader dichotomy.

LOL. Season ticket holders are part of the problem.

Good one. You're actually proving my point here. You tell us exactly who you are and what your position is when you think that Dallas Cowboys season ticket holders are THE PROBLEM.

Not when he put up 800 yards in 14 games as a rookie, 1300 yards a couple of years later and garnered you a 1st and 3rd after his 4th year. That aint no bust.

Fail!

Hardly. One good season out of 6 for a top 10 draft pick is a bust, any way you try to spin it.

The only reason he garnered a bushel of draft picks was the moron who was convinced that RW could be a lead dog at WR. The Lions and the rest of the league are laughing at Jones for that trade.

I was NOT going to respond, but this is an outright lie. The video was posted in post #73. I did not respond for many posts beyond that.

Roy sucks. Been saying it from the word go.

Had you-know-who made these comments, it would be headlines on ESPN and Dallas writers would have bleeding finger tips.

Not only that, it would be the lead story everywhere and on continuous rotation.

Even if he's covered throw him the ball? Yeah real smart, Romo gets blasted for being careless with the ball - why try to jam it into Keyshawn 2.0 when you've got guys like Austin/Hurd/Crayton/Witten getting wide open.

 I think you just said something.
Please Romo, don't eat the cheese. Keep doing what you're doing. I hope my man Tony is not this weak. You see what happened when you zeroed in on Terrell. Roy is not that special.

Is this really surprising at all considering who (as in the source) it's coming from? ESPN loves its' Dallas Cowboys drama, and have for the past couple of years.

Dumb thing to say. Very TO like.

Just say "it's not happening right now, and it will hopefully in the future."

Does anybody expect the media to take that as an answer. They have been hounding him from day 1. He is right, when he says that the balls to him have been all over the place, because they have been. That is not an indictment on Romo. It is a statement to the fact that he and Romo , for whatever reason, are not on the smae page. You guys are blowing this crap up, these comments are not a big deal, especially when written bya reporter with a Very Specific Biased Agenda against the person in question. The media loves you guys for it.

This is all that needs to be said about that quote. Unfortunately, it would't be.

And I love how everybody seems to neglect the "OUR" in the qoute. Surely, he was just throwing Romo under the bus.
