I can't believe how many people think that AP is a viable option. We signed our insurance in Ryan Williams in case Murray left and this is the one of the deepest drafts at RB in a while. We've been talking about this for months. But then when Murray actually gets ready to go people freak about uncertainty and start talking about AP like this is even possible, let alone good for us in the long term.

Suck it up. We can't spend money everywhere and we have been losing because of defense, not offense, for years. I'm grateful we didn't spend big money on RB. With Romo and this O-line, if we can't get a pair of RBs to generate 1,500 yards then we have bigger problems than Murray leaving.

Waiting to see the numbers on Murray, because I think that deal will basically blow any potential deal for AD out of the water for me. Ie, Murray's going to get more than I'd be willing to pay for AD, so it makes anything but drafting a RB a non-starter. That said, AD's obviously on another team's roster right now, so until that changes, it's a moot point. But there's also no reason not to acknowledge that there are real problems with that relationship and that that contract right now is way too high for this league. The odds are still fairly high that Adrian Peterson is wearning another helmet next year.

I don't know about everybody else, but there's not another back out there right now that interests me any more than Ryan WIlliams does. Until we get to the draft, at least.

Who cares, now we all need to hope he breaks both legs. That SOB is trying to do what he sees as best for him, even though Zonemembers know better than he does what's best for him.;)

He's the Debbil now..:(

Just saw Shefter on ESPN. "The Eagles have been very serious about courting, pursuing, and signing DeMarco." Really? Did I not just read that Murray contacted the Eagles yesterday? He contacted them.

So do you think this may blow up in Murray's face? I'm not sure he's ever been in a game of bluff with Jarrah the ringleader. I think you've overplayed your hand DeMarco. Get your cardio way up.

Jerry bluffing in football negotiations?

The guy described by Randy Galloway in the painting of the dogs playing poker as the one wagging his tail? Yeah, I don't think that this is an issue here.

Murray, he gone.

Congrat to Murray. big time pickup by Philly.Murray running against our bad defense, is going to be a nightmare.Jerry and his son made the decision to not pay this man what he wanted. now they have to play against the NFL offensive player of the year twice. good luck with that.
Chip? is that you?

Not sure what this all means for the 2015 season. I'm sure we will field a capable rb of some kind though .
One thing I am sure of , never have we seen an important piece of the team let go like Murray was over dollars in the jerry jones era. Things are being done drastically different over at valley ranch these days.
I trust that they have a plan in place cause really that's all I can do.
Let's see what you got jerry

So Murray's gone to be with his pal Bradford. How hilarious would it be if Chip traded Bradford to move up to get Mariota. And yes, I know Chip said he wasn't going to, but who knows with that guy?

I'd be rolling in the aisles if that happened.

Their line was much better in 2013 than last year. They had perfect health (much like Dallas did this past season) on the OL and better chemistry. They played a lot of reserves this past year thanks to injuries and Johnson's suspension to start the year.
yes i know. Layer in the year when they were through all of that, i thought the unit performed very well.

If I am trainer...I am trying to get job with Eagles. They made trades for two players who have 4 ACL season ending injuries among them. Murray is high risk injury waiting to happen in 2015. Use the opportunity to get younger at key position. Let philly take the hit.

I was a huge Murray fan, but a bigger Cowboys fan so I'll hold judgement until I see how it pans out. Right now, I think it was a mistake to let a bruiser back go, but Jerry has surprised me before. I know we're going bargain hunting, but New England broke the bank for a corner, just to get a SB. This is not the year to go bargain hunting when you have a QB who could be washed up at any moment. If you think Romo could be a difference maker over the next 5 to 6 years, then fine, I'm good with it. But if you think we are on the verge right now, we need to get a star or two in here, otherwise we'll be the same team while other teams are getting better.

And drafting a RB is meaningless when we have a terrible defense. All resources should go towards the defense. I'd rather go with the runners we have on the team than go for one in the draft. You're not winning without a good defense, end of story.

Spiller interests me.

He takes a lot of grief, but who did he have blocking for him in Buffalo? Any time that team actually gets a good offensive lineman, they let him leave.

I'm intrigued to know what he might do with his ability and this caliber of offensive line.

Spiller would be a decent consolation prize but I don't see him as a bruiser, which our team needs.

We must've really ticked him off. To go to the arch rival and sell yourself as a FA,... that's telling if you ask me.

I think he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wanted to get paid and win. He couldn't get both from Dallas, Jacksonville, or Oakland so he peddled himself where he thinks he can.

He's wrong, but he'll tell himself they can win. And do it with his old college buddy while both of them stand on the sidelines injured.

Gurley would be my choice if they go the draft route, but that will cost you pick #27 and you would definitely need your gaping hole at DE patched up before that.

I like Gurley too. Much more than Gordon.

But if i were working in the FO i would not pick a RB in the first round.

Anyways ... IDK i think i would be disappointed if we drafted one of the two backs in round 1.
I speculate we get a RB in the third or fourth and let our (then 4) backs play the starter out. If they dont trust them 4 we might be signing a veteran. But not before OTAs.

Right now i am just happy that we did not sign Murray. I wasnt very high on him. I am looking forward to see another back running behind our line who actually knows what to do after he hit the whole and is in the secondary..
