Antonio Bryant is a stud, didn't pan out in Dallas but blew up in TB. He is a headcase though but what stud WRs aren't?

Are you seriously arguing burress? Hahahah, are there stud wrs that aren't headcases? Sure, but plax isn't one of them. Are you unaware he was drafted by the steelers and let go because he was a problem child?let alone the guy shot himself with a gun for christs sake, for all intents and purposes costed his team another trip to the superbowl. Poor example buddy. are you serious about ABs production last year? Lights out.

I thought Felix was a bad pick, wanted Mendenhall.
I also thought Chris Johnson's speed wouldn't translate very successfully to the NFL.
Like so many others, I thought each QB was the answer... QC, Chad "Clutchinson," Bledsoe. Not Leaf though...
I thought Rocket Ismail and Joey Galloway would take the world by storm.

Oh man me too. Had Galloway not gotten hurt it may have been a different story. The franchise was on the way down regardless, but Galloway has proven to have a lot of miles left in the tank. And the guy is still fast for a 15 year vet.

Let's see here...

- Wrong about QC being our franchise QB. I saw his work ethic and improvement (remember when he couldn't throw a spiral as a rookie?) and was rooting like hell for him to take that next step. Of course, nobody knew about his weed vice at the time.

- Wrong about Chad Hutchinson. And Drew Henson. Next.

- Wrong about Troy Hambrick. I saw his YPC average as Emmitt's backup and thought he was going to be a beast as our starter in 2003. Yeah, not so much... it was hilarious when he signed with Arizona to be Emmitt's backup yet again, after all the crap he talked about being the team's best RB while backing Emmitt up in Dallas.

- Wrong about T.O. growing up and finally being able to get along with a QB. Silly me... I should've known it was only a matter of time.

- Wrong about Terence Newman. I thought he'd end up as a bust after his horrendous 2004 season.

- Wrong about Bobby Carpenter. I saw him as a "safe" choice and loved the pick. He's "safe" alright... his personal safety appears to be his #1 priority at all times when he's playing linebacker.

- Wrong about Derek Ross. Thought we had a major steal on our hands when he picked off a bunch of passes as a rookie. Too immature to last in this league.

And my favorite one...

- Wrong about Tony Romo. I thought it was a TERRIBLE idea to replace Bledsoe with Romo in the middle of the '06 season, because I saw it as a sign that we were giving up on the season. I didn't believe in Romo and didn't think he'd be the long-term answer... until his first start in Carolina.

I loved the 1987 draft with Danny Noonan and Ron Francis when it happened.

Great call, Chief... So did I. Loved both those guys.

Also...

I thought 500 head coaches could win with the 90s team.

I thought I'd never see the head coach of the Cowboys in a wet suit.

I thought I was kidding when I said that Parcells would draft an Italian Jersey tight end from Notre Dame in the second round.

But worst of all...

I thought Bobby Carpenter could play.:abuseme:

I most always hedge my bets on players because there are so many unknowns and certain stars truly flop quite often, therefore its tough to really be wrong. Of course, you're never right either. :)

But I'll confess to the following...

I defended Jerry Jones drafts pre-Parcells far too much when they were initially made. Never claimed they were great, but felt they needed to be given a chance to develop. Dead wrong, they sucked from the word go.

I was wrong about Romo, I thought he would be nothing more than a backup I think he has shown himself to be a very good starting QB

After the first game he played I though for sure he was gonna be the next great QB. But after last season I have a feeling how dead wrong I was. I dont think he'll get any better than he is now, which is just good and thats it.

I thought so too, or at least an NFC Championship.

Your new analysis on romo is dead wrong lol and when this thread is created next year you will admit it! Romo WILL win us at least 1 superbowl.

I admit I wasn't thrilled about Felix. Didn't like Mendenhall much better, but I wanted to take Jenkins there.

It couldn't have worked out any better.

I hope I am wrong. It seems to me that Tonya is more worried about what Jess is doing, or when the next golf tourney is then QBing this team. To me he's an above average QB until he proves otherwise.

Prove it to me Romo, prove it to me. Thats all I ask.

I was wrong about Quincy Carter. I thought he'd turn into Donovan McNabb.
I was wrong about Hutchinson and Henson. I thought both were better than Romo.

And finally I was wrong about Romo, I thought he was a Dave Krieg type: too small and not athletic enough to take a team under his wing to a championship. Or maybe I wasn't wrong about Tony. I guess the jury still out on Romo. I love him to death but I’m not sure anymore if he’s got what it takes to take the Cowboys all the way. Sorta like Krieg was for the Seahawks.

Skyler Green.....

He was sorta my "pet cat" going into that draft, and then we drafted him and I was pumped... and you know the rest.

Jacob Rogers

I thought he had a lot of talent.... never realized he was such a pansy.

Thought Bobby Carpenter would be a very good starting LB at worst.

I wasn't at all an advocate of Romo replacing Bledsoe. I felt that we were throwing the season away if Bledsoe was benched. This opinion started to sway when Bledsoe got off on the wrong foot against the Giants, but I still didn't want Romo. When Romo came in to start the second half, I thought I'd cased Romo correctly and that the season was essentially over. He continued to look shaky early against Carolina and I was saying "I told you so"...until he mounted the comeback.

I wanted the Cowboys to draft Sinorice Moss really bad.
