No evidence to support I read them but fact is right now it's ten games and that is all we have to go on.

Well, no evidence except the precedent set by Peterson. And, ya know, a precedent is pretty good evidence?

Agree but two totally diff things I just think the team is pigeon holed with that first pick now.

You agree but you said no evidence to support. How does that work? A prior precedent is good evidence. The Peterson case set a precedent that something done under the old domestic violence rules could not be punished by the new domestic violence rules. The Hardy incident was done under the old rules but he was punished under the new. Precedent says that is going to be appealed and won. It was for Peterson so it will for Hardy.

No evidence to support that will be the case here....go back to that thread others are posting what I did. those pics had to be pretty bad.

Just look what this does it makes DE the number one choice therefore limiting who is left at RB at 54. No bellcow is going to be there.

I think all along the choice at 27 is more likely DE or CB, but they aren't reaching. They take what is there. They might even trade down.

It doesn't matter how bad the pictures were. Ray Rice had video for god's sake. Adrian Peterson had horrible pictures as well. It did not matter. Doty said unequivocally that incidents that occurred during the old rules must be punished under the old rules. Hardy's incident occurred under the old rules. It does not get any simpler than that.

Even in the Bears Super Bowl season, Payton was a shell of the great runner he had once been.

In 1985, Payton's stats were as follows:
324 carries 1551 yards 4.8 avg. 9 RushTDs
49 catches 483 yards 9.9 avg. 2 Rec TDs

He was also 3-5 passing for 60 yards and 1 TD.

This was Walter Payton's 4th best rushing output in his career... His 49 catches led the team.... He finished third in the NFL in rushing...
He was hardly a shell of himself in 1985.... he followed the '85 season with a 1300+ season in '86 and retired after the '87 season after
being replaced by Neal Anderson........ a little research goes a long way.

Robo, thank you very much. You saved me from having to respond to a comment utterly lacking factual basis.

Payton was 31 during the Bears SB winning season. Give me a Walter Payton at 31 over any RB in this draft, including Todd Gurley with two bionic knees and Superman's cape. Some people just want to believe every NFL running back applies for social security benefits when he hits age 30. I wonder if these people have even watched Walter Payton play.

^I wish I could give you more than one like for this, Robo. I really do.
