I'd trade our 3rd and a pay cut for AD.

1st round - Shane Ray or Malcolm Brown
2nd round - best CB available
3rd round - AD

I'd say that would be a pretty incredible first three rounds of the draft.

Yeah. No. Trade back and get an extra pick in the third. Target a DE, DT, Corner and no AP.

The only three teams I see grabbing an RB in the first would be Chargers, Cardinals, and the Cowboys. Ravens potentially could, but I feel they will be looking for Smith's replacement. They are quite thin at WR right now.

I'm sticking with Gurley being the player in the first round that slips into the early second. I still firmly believe we'll be the first to take an RB in the draft and it'll be Gordon. But I even question that, we may wait until the second and grab Ajayi.

I have not seen any projections or mocks that are showing Gurley in the 2nd round. With the 2 first round pass rushers sliding due to drug issues it seems even more likely that Gordon and Gurley will be taken in the 1st round. If Gurley is sitting on the board around 20 then many teams will be looking to trade up to grab him. Way too much hype surrounding him for 32 teams to pass on him.

There's been plenty of hype around a lot of players in the past that slipped a bit.

I have no idea how scouts are going to overlook a player who has been injury plagued not only in college, but all the way back to high school. The guy hasn't had a healthy season since 2012. This is a first round pick? This is a guy that hated the "injury prone" label in 2013 and set out to prove people wrong in 2014, what happened? He tore his ACL.

I don't believe for a second that this will be overlooked by teams. If someone wants to take him in the first though, go ahead. I just hope it's not the Cowboys.

I don't think for a second ANY RB is going in the top 15, I even question top 20. Pre-draft hype.

I'll have to disagree on that. I think Gurley will now go much higher since his knee checked out. I think many people see a special talent.

But we won't have to wait too much longer to find out.

I totally believe we won't go after AP. I have very mixed feelings about that. Things could go very wrong to the to on of 8-8 with Romo taking huge hits or we could have a legendary o-line that makes whomever is in the backfield look good. There is not much wiggle room if we don't have a back to lesson Romo"s responsibility to lead us to wins.

Big crossroads here for the franchise. I hope we make the right move. Otherwise you guys screaming to not trade anything for AP will also risk Romos health and put us smack dab in the middle of the pack.

So every scout and expert that has Gurley going in the first round and top 10 in many mocks should be ignored because you don't want him with his injury history? in fact have you seen a single mock draft recently that has him in the 2nd round?

It's fine if you don't want him but be realistic. These mock drafts are not perfect but they are usually pretty accurate at judging the pulse of the leagues scouts.

No, no they really aren't accurate. Top 10 is incredibly high for Gurley, and I'm not sure what mock drafts you are even looking at. There aren't many saying he's going in the top 10. The "rumored" teams that want Gurley in the top 10 are Falcons and Jets, two teams that have a million more issues outside of RB. This is, without a doubt, pre-draft hype.

You want realistic? The closest to realism is an RB being taken anywhere from about 16-32. Top 10? Not realistic. If you want to go by those close-to-draft mocks, then go ahead. Me saying a player that has the potential of being taken late in the first round slipping into the early second is not unrealistic.

If either the Jets or Falcons want to grab Gurley in the top 10, they can go right ahead. It was dumb when the Browns took Richardson early and it was dumb when the Falcons traded away all their value for Julio Jones. There are too many valuable players that can help in the trenches that are better picks than an RB.

Just don't argue with him. I stopped. I've felt much better

You said you "firmly" believe Gordon would be the first back taken and it would be by us. Gurley has more of a chance at going top 10 than he does falling into the 2nd round. I am not a huge Gurley fan for several reasons but when every mock or poll that rates the RB's has Gurley going before Gordon and both guys going in the first I see no reason you can believe so firmly in anything.

Adrian Peterson - "It would be nice," to come to Dallas. "I've got family here, my dad's here. But I'm under contract, so we'll see." #NFL

Another sign! First Stephen Jones wears a purple shirty to yesterday's draft press conference...then this trade leaked....We only have 19 more to go...tomorrow a rumor is going to leak we traded 27th, randle, williams, and dmac to the Titans for 2nd pick, Brian orakpo, and next year's number 3. We will then trade the 2 to the Eagles for 20, 2, 3, Sanchez, Mathews, kendricks, and money to pay Polk. We will then trade our 2, 3 Mathews, money for Polk to Minn for All Day and McKinnon. That leaves us with the Eagles 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to go with our other four picks plus AD. The kicker AD reups his deal and signs a new 3 yr 28 mill deal. Only #28 total dollars is guaranteed as rumors have surfaced AD is on immediate decline. Bank it!

Now AD is saying how it would be nice to come to Dallas! Sweet sister Sally!

Ap can wish and hope all he wants, along with you. It still isn't gonna happen.

I would not be totally surprised if Arizona is the first to take a RB at 24. Baltimore could also take one at 27.

Two teams before that pick have legit interest in a RB with the first pick. Miami, Charges, both reports coming yesterday and Monday.

So says the guy who bought five jersey's yesterday. So says the guy who wants the cowobys to draft a broken down fumble machine in Ajayi. That trade is going down and Stephen wore a purple eater shirt for a reason yesterday.

Because I give NFL scouts and GMs credit, maybe more credit than they deserve admittedly. Watching hours upon hours of gameplay, calling high school coaches, talking to college coaches, and looking at production and injury history tells me that GMs will fear the fact that Gurley has only played in 16 games since 2012. You then go back to his final year in high school, he sprained both his ankles in 3 different places. So, since 2011, he's had one healthy season (I might be overlooking an injury in 2012, who knows).

About the only thing solidified in the NFL Draft is the top 10-15, unless a major trade happens. Falcons will most likely draft Beasley. Outside of the top 15, that's when things start to shake up a bit. So yes, Todd Gurley slipping into the early second round? I'll stick by that. It is the draft, so nothing is ever set in stone and as long as we aren't the one drafting Gurley, I'll be happy.

Chargers taking an RB is realistic. I've read about Lions taking an RB, but it seems more likely they'll try to fix their offensive line. That team still relies on Stafford's big arm, so protection is key.

I'm not really sure about the Dolphins taking an RB. Lamar Miller played pretty well behind one of the worst lines in the league. Over 1,000 yards, 5.1 average, and 8 TDs. Pretty impressive, I think they got their RB.
