Ok then, wait just a second I just found a bottle of Bacardi 151-yes this is good, now back to the Cowboys, trade this years 1st and 3rd picks to move up to get Gurley, trade next years # 2 to the Vikes for Peterson, and use this years # 2 for Coleman and then we have a whole stable of running backs. Now since your on board with this strategy why don't you have Mr Scott beam me up to the Enterprise and have him beam up this bottle of Bacardi too.

Chargers taking an RB is realistic. I've read about Lions taking an RB, but it seems more likely they'll try to fix their offensive line. That team still relies on Stafford's big arm, so protection is key.

I'm not really sure about the Dolphins taking an RB. Lamar Miller played pretty well behind one of the worst lines in the league. Over 1,000 yards, 5.1 average, and 8 TDs. Pretty impressive, I think they got their RB.

Honestly the reports do not have anything to do with your opinion...the Lions sent their RB coach to watch Coleman=legit interest...The Dolphins have reported on consecutive days if Gurley falls to 14 that is the pick...and lastly the Charges reported yesterday they are targeting a RB with their first pick....

I go back to the leaked trade last night, Esloan, Mjames, and Jim in line at the liquor store buying all the AD jerseys, Stephen Jones wearing a purple shirt to the pre draft press conference(daddy and JG both wore Cowboys colors), and now this....IT's A SIGN!

I'm just trying to get this thread to 200 pages before the AP saga is over... so that it can officially die.

DD told me so! Lol

You understand that scouts look at all options right? Showing interest in a player doesn't mean that is their first choice at a particular spot. And that is not what the Dolphins said, no team is stupid enough to tell the world what their pick is before the draft. This is what they said: “He’s a talent. He’s definitely a player that his ability stands out and shines,” said Eric Stokes, the Dolphins’ assistant general manager. “He’s an exciting guy to watch. We’ve enjoyed working through that process with him and seeing him. From there, we’ll see where things shake out.”

As for the Lions, we are discussing first round picks here. Coleman isn't projected for the top 25, he's a second rounder. And it's been reported for months that the Chargers are targeting an RB, no surprise here.

No, no they really aren't accurate. Top 10 is incredibly high for Gurley, and I'm not sure what mock drafts you are even looking at. There aren't many saying he's going in the top 10. The "rumored" teams that want Gurley in the top 10 are Falcons and Jets, two teams that have a million more issues outside of RB. This is, without a doubt, pre-draft hype.

You want realistic? The closest to realism is an RB being taken anywhere from about 16-32. Top 10? Not realistic. If you want to go by those close-to-draft mocks, then go ahead. Me saying a player that has the potential of being taken late in the first round slipping into the early second is not unrealistic.

If either the Jets or Falcons want to grab Gurley in the top 10, they can go right ahead. It was dumb when the Browns took Richardson early and it was dumb when the Falcons traded away all their value for Julio Jones. There are too many valuable players that can help in the trenches that are better picks than an RB.

Gurley isn't Richardson. Gurley is arguably the best RB prospect since AD himself. Kid is a beast.

Ap can wish and hope all he wants, along with you. It still isn't gonna happen.

Love how your statements are so prophetic. As if you know the outcome of everything Cowboys. Tell me who are they targeting in the first round?

Det isn't taking a rb in the 1st. They have far to many other holes. They seem to be interested in Coleman which they could realistically take in round 2

Gurley isn't Richardson. Gurley is arguably the best RB prospect since AD himself. Kid is a beast.

A beast who has a nagging injury every year that either knocks him out of games or makes him miss the entire season.

I save the "beast" label to players that can stay on the field and play at a high level. That goes to Gordon.

Here's a great post from a Dolphins fan (I don't want to take the credit)

"Of course the "statistic" or I don't know if you want to call it that but whatever it is, the point that might trump all points is this.

1. Todd Gurley missed almost a half of a game in Week 1 of 2013 with a hip flexor injury which went on to affect him the whole year.
2. Gurley then took an ankle injury in Week 5 of 2013, missing half of the game as well as the following 3 games.
3. He missed almost a half a game in his Week 10 return from the ankle injury with "nausea that accompanied his return from injury".
4. Fast-forward to preseason 2014, there's rumor Gurley dealt with a knee injury during the preseason.
5. Then even though he hadn't played in a month due to suspension, he was seen wearing a huge elbow brace in his return against Auburn.
6. Finally he takes the ACL injury with 5 minutes left to play in the Auburn game in 2014.

When Todd Gurley returned from the ankle injury in 2013, the Bulldogs had him averaging less than 15 yards per carry after returning from injury, admitting they were trying to strike a balance between his impact and getting him to be healthy into the fourth quarter.

As of December 30th, 2013 his coach Mark Richt noted "He's still not where he was the first time he galloped down the field at Clemson (Week 1). Remember that vision and that look? I don't think he's there."

Gurley himself hinted that the Week 5 ankle injury was so bad it threatened to see him shelved the rest of the year: "I missed some games, but I could have been out the whole year. I guess I'm lucky I was able to come back and still play"

Four of Georgia's five losses in 2013 came with Todd Gurley out, sidelined for a significant chunk of the game, or limited due to injury concerns. The strained quad in Week 1 against Clemson caused him to sit the rest of the game after his 12th carry. They lost the game 35-38. Then they lost to Missouri (26-41) and Vanderbilt (27-41) while he sat out with the ankle injury. They lost to Auburn 38-43 with Gurley limited to 15 carries due to not wanting to wear him out.

How was the feel of Gurley's season to teammates? “I feel like this year sort of got taken from him because of the injuries,” (Jordan Jenkins).

How about some subtle hints from teammates that Gurley needs to prepare better if he wants to make it through the season healthier?

“The sky’s the limit for that guy,” offensive guard Chris Burnette said. “Him having another year to train and get prepared, he’ll probably make this year and last year look like nothing.”Or...

Junior receiver Chris Conley plans to make sure Gurley stays on top of things this offseason.

I’m not going to be letting up on him at all,” Conley said. “He’s going to be coming in here with me every day. Then I expect him to ball out. Kid’s an extreme talent.”How much was the "injury prone" label stuck onto Todd Gurley BEFORE he tore his ACL in 2014? Two things. Georgia took out an insurance policy on his behalf which pays up to $5 million should he get injured in a way that affects his draft status ("loss of value"), and another $5 million if he never plays again. You can also find articles dated August 2014 titled "Todd Gurley takes offense to being called injury-prone"."

Again, I don't see scouts overlooking this stuff. They do more thorough checks than the average fan and draft analyst.

Spin it however you prefer to. He's going to be taken in the top 15 as he should be the kid has incredible talent. And unlike Gordon he actually played top defenses on a weekly basis too.

You've heard of rumors? I report on rumors esp ones from the liquor store...to your Lions opinion...I don't think you're in the know...what's new there...they actually referenced Caldwell taking Donald Brown with the colts...I don't believe Brown was on many lists that year as a first round back. I can visualize the article now....Caldwell calls Mjames to assess his opinion of taking Colemen with their first pick...yeah don't see it happening..if they want Coleman they will take him right there regardless of what you think.

Look at his career stats, I'll take that kind of production. Look at 2013 specifically when he had those nagging injuries the entire season. Again, unlike Gordon (only because he's the only other highly talked about prospect) Gurley faced far better defenses.

Adrian Peterson: Playing in Dallas 'would be nice'
The Minnesota Vikings have no intention of trading Adrian Peterson. The Dallas Cowboys have no intention of trading for a veteran.

Those facts won't stop the running back from dreaming about one day playing in Dallas.

While attending the Dallas Mavericks-Houston Rockets NBA Playoff game on Tuesday, Peterson was broached by local reporters about returning to his home state.

Jags, Jets, Falcons, Giants, Browns, or the Dolphins

Jags will most likely grab either Williams or Fowler. Jets were most likely going to grab Ray or Dupree, with Ray's latest incident, they'll probably go Dupree. It's almost set in stone now that the Falcons will grab Beasley. The Giants have an offensive line to fix, they are going with OG. The Browns are being linked to Parker. As for the Dolphins, they have more pressing needs at WR and CB and there will be great value there.

The most realistic spot for Gurley or Gordon to go starts with the Chargers. But even they could go for OT or even defense. After Chargers, it's Cardinals that have a pressing need at RB and the slight chance that Ravens go RB over WR.

Talent means absolutely nothing if a player can't stay on the field. It's one thing if it was an isolated incident, but it hasn't been that way for Gurley. He is, without a doubt, injury prone. This goes all the way back to high school when he sprained both ankles.

Gurley is top 10 talent the only reason he drops to top 15 is because of the knee injury period. The first round of the draft always has surprises. You left out the Vikings. The Vikings could move AD on day 1 and draft Gurley as his replacement.
