You have to have some basis for your claims. The "Peterson coming to Dallas" has to have SOME evidence, where is the evidence? So people be skeptical or saying for a fact that he is not coming is far closer to the truth than saying a deal is happening behind the scenes.

How can you say closer to the truth when no one knows the truth. Jerry Jones may not even know yet what will happen....I personally don't think it will. But notice I said I don't "THINK" it will. It's my opinion and everyone should have theirs. And I want to hear everyone's opinion. Just like I don't want to hear a person who thinks Peterson is coming to Dallas say ..."its happening so deal with it" or " get over it and go to bed". I also don't need to hear someone who doesn't "THINK" it won't happen say these things. We don't really know. Heck the people involved don't even know including Peterson himself.

Why is it so hard for people to be ok with other people not thinking like they do? Is it insecurity? Maybe some desire to fight on a message board. We are all cowboys fans and we all want the best for our team.

Do you not see the clear contradiction here?

I have no problem with you stating your opinion that the probability is low, none at all. I think you can then point to quotes to support that opinion. But when you cross over into "I'm certain"? It then goes off the rails.

Give me your opinion all day, I enjoy a good debate. Just don't try to pass off what you think as what you know.

Peterson isn't coming to Dallas. I'll be back here to discuss the rookie RB we draft with you, okay?

I look forward to it. While I will likely be a bit disappointed (depending on who we do or don't get), I'll certainly be hoping for things to work out well and wouldn't have an issue if you told me how wrong I was about the Peterson thing.

And I would expect that if things were to work out the other way and the team was to land Peterson, you would put your opinions aside and hope that things worked out for the best too. That's what we do as fans.

Minnesota wants to trade him, but nobody is offering close to what they want for him.

I think he starts the season in Minnesota, but gets traded away before the deadline. That's when Dallas might strike because he'll be had for a later pick then they're asking now.

No one is censoring anyone, are they? People are free to post what they want.

And there has been plenty of hearing the opposing opinions, what do you think 190 pages consists of?

Once again, until there is something credible from the "Peterson to Dallas rumors", I am absolutely okay with saying I'm certain he's not coming to Dallas. It's the same as someone saying "JJ Watt may come to Dallas", it's so improbable I'm certain it won't happen.

There is a difference between you saying you are certain he isn't coming to dallas and trying to shut someone down when they say they believe he may be coming to Dallas.

What is it that makes you (or anyone) continue to reply to a thread every time someone post something that is different than what you are "certain" of?
Does it truly get under your skin if another fan out there somewhere believes something different than you posted? Do you feel that you have to respond or you are agreeing with them? Do you feel that this person is embarrassing you and your opinions by daring to post something that doesn't line up with what you say? At the end of the day if you beat another poster like Stasheroo into submission and he changes his mind does that make you feel good?

Forget the Peterson part.. I find the dedication to this thread and the need to get the last word intriguing.

This is mostly offseason discussion. The same reason people are clinging to any news on "Peterson to Dallas". And really, I'm not sure anyone is actually trying to get the last word. This thread continues to get bumped by news. If it's not some random site or twitter post bumping this it's us restructuring a contract that is above what Peterson makes which throws fuel on the Peterson to Dallas fire.

But stuff like this is going to create debate, it's just the way of a message board. Things get heated, it cools down, people eventually move on. The draft is right around the corner, we'll have plenty to talk about tomorrow.

The Vikings will have absolutely ZERO leverage to get anything for him at that point. The more likely scenario IMO if he doesn't get moved this weekend is he gets out right released. Why would they want to be on the hook for any of his salary?

the same reason they gave him the salary to begin with. Minn can take his cap hit with no issues.

You don't understand what the word 'certain' means....or at a minimum don't understand how to use it correctly.
