this is too funny with any other player we are told you don't pay them on what they did in the past you look at the future. Future with AD he is about to be 30 and his numbers went down big time from 2012 to 2013 and his last outing sucked in 2014 but lets just pretend he is not human and defies all logic. LOL

We don't know what AD will do this coming season. It is not a given, it is a bunch of hope. His last outing last season he did not look like a freak vs one of the worst run defense in the NFL. He did not look like a freak after the 2013 season when he gained only 1,266 yards vs the 2,000 he had in 2012. I think people are falling in love with the past and expecting they will get the same. I highly doubt it

Fair enough. On my end, I expect him to tear it up, especially behind our line. Both sides is a fair argument, IMO.

Because he did it all on his own, same as Romo loses on his own.

I know that is what they want people to believe but Minn has had a very good OL over the time Peterson has been there. They lack a lot in terms of overall team and that is why their record as a team sucks. in 2009 it was Brett Favre who put up a 33 TD and 7 int season that got them to the NFC championship game

I expect if he were to come to Dallas it will be for less than what we are offering Murray. I just don't see giving a player on the downhill side a bigger contract than a player in his prime and for all the knocks on Murray he blew the NFL away as rushing leader with the nearest player over 400 yards behind. The Cowboys team (Players and coaches) seem to know what Murray has meant to this team and the success they had last year.

That's a bit disingenuous considering he had a 102 more carries than the guy who came in 2nd. Plus I think we got REALLY lucky with his health considering Murray's injury history in his career.

I'd rather sign a short term deal with AD and hope there is something left in his tank than give Murray a big longer term deal and think we are going to continue to squeeze more 400 carry seasons out of him.

Yeah, this guy isn't a freak. Some of y'all must of forgot. (Probably good idea to mute your speakers and just watch on of the best RB's in the history of the game)

What I gather from that is that 90 percent of the time Murray would have gone down, sideline, or looking for contact instead of 10/20/30 yards further down the field. AP hits the hole faster, is stronger, and has better vision. I dont even know how this is a discussion anymore.

Allot of good and bad. Mostly good.

Agreed. Without him we would of been worse then mediocre for the last 8 years. I say 8 because we would have had some pretty good draft pick postions if not for him lol

yes 102 more carries and over 400 yards that is still a lot. As for long term deal I don't see a 3 to 4 year deal as a big issue for a guy in his prime.

LOL it was a catch twenty two with him. kept us just out of reach for good picks but we couldn't get over the top as a team.

I would prefer not to trade for Peterson. but if it came down to that and Dallas wanted to.

Trade the 27th pick
Minnesota has the 45th pick

TRADE with Minnesota for RD2 '15 RD4 '15 and Adrian Peterson
The RD2 and RD4 picks Dallas gets back leave about 154 pts. Which would mean Dallas is giving Minnesota a low RD3 value in Adding Peterson to the Trade.
