Adrian Peterson's "agent" refuses meeting with Vikes GM

And let's not be naive here...Murray isn't making anybody miss without touching him

Might be the worst back in the NFL in that open field

@Battleone1: @fishsports Are the #Cowboys showing interest in AP or is it wait & see approach”/ working story tonight

I don't have stats to compare...emmitt was a far super back based on vision alone

So Murray doesn't have speed or vision. But somehow managed 1,800+ yds. What does he have then? I guess it's luck. Emmitt did all his work on his own too I'm guessing. The so called Great Wall of Dallas didn't help at all for Emmitt. Neither did having Moose Johnson blocking.

Im confused with people saying Barry had no speed..lol. he recorded a 4.37 out of college..he ran past people with the lions...i remember always saying if Emmitt had Barry's speed he would have had way more yards......Barry rarely got caught from behind........

Disagree.

Murray made people miss.

Its just that his top end speed isn't that great, so he got caught in situations where faster backs would run away from the defense.

A running back needs vision to see the hole, and a burst to get through it before it closes.

Normally you aren't in space after the hole, so there's an element of using vision and agility to avoid defenders while maintaining your speed to get out into the open field.

From there a back should be able to hit the jets and outrun the defense.

Murray is great at the first three steps (find hole, accelerate through it, navigate through defenders), and sub par when he reaches that last step.

That's where Emmit was better.

Edit: that, and Emmit was a really hard guy to tackle. Demarco is a load too, but in terms of being tough to bring down Emmit was wayyy up there.
