I think there could be fans like that Yes that are just so heavily invested in the Cowboys that they think the world is out to get them Yes that's definitely a possibility. You don't think it also goes the other way where fans are so invested and identify so much with the Cowboys that any loss of theirs makes them a loser by extension, which causes them to create stories about how the Cowboys didn't "really" lose but some evil boogeyman was responsible instead to help soothe the psyche because that's a reality they can't accept?
I might not have made myself clear enough but I don't think it's just the Cowboys I'm a believer that primetime games involving any teams are manipulated to keep them close and keep the viewing audience tuned in.
It just so happens that Jerry has managed to get the Cowboys on so many primetime games that we become involved quite a bit of the time.
But I don't believe that this is strictly a vendetta against the Cowboys.
I believe it is a marketing tool used for whatever teams are playing in primetime to keep the viewing audience
