How can Moore adjust the offense for Dak, when it took the “legend” a week to throw a TD in training camp, in year 3? Dak is a one-read QB, that can’t show any sustained ability to go through progressions and throw to spaces.. I mean do you people actually bother to really watch him closely? You can often times tell exactly where he is going, because he stares down his reads.

You're not wrong in saying Dak is a one-read quarterback. I totally agree with that however coaches plan in advance before each game. So being that's the case, Moore should have a plan B for if plan A fails however he doesn't. He's a 1 plan coordinator as Dak is a 1 read quarterback. That's why I say Moore is on the cusp of being a head coach but he's not quite there yet...

Oh yeah, I agree. Much of our success was predicated on the fact our OL was allowing us very manageable third and short situations, that allowed Moore to basically pick what he wanted, pass or run. He could dictate what he wanted to do.

I’ve seen him quite a few times go back to the run though, when things weren’t working. Not sure why he didn’t try it this game, especially with the way the passing game looked.

And before that it was Witt running a 6 yard out on 3rd and 7………
That's what we were seeing this game. That behind the marker or scrimmage line doesn't work very well unless Ur clicking on all 8 cylinders. There has to be a deep threat

I’m not old enough to remember when he played, but i’ve heard from a few guys that are a little older saying he was overrated & got saved by his teammates and Super Bowls.

His stats seem avg as hell.

He was the 93 Super Bowl MVP and hella accurate when defenses clamped down on his wide receivers in tough match ups. Which is what puts him in the tier of elite QBs in his time. Recency bias blinds the young and foolish.

Maybe it's time for that offensive Guru of a HC to actually do something to help this team.

Oh yeah, Aikman did. I remember that. Also , I remember the WR's that were out there at the time. You know. Brown, Wilson and Turner. Yep, all # 1 guys on other teams. That's unstoppable right there.:facepalm::facepalm:

Thank you for paying attention....and people want to blame Kellen....look what he has to work with. It's like baking a cake....but don't use flour or sugar...

Defence did it's job. What did you expect, single digits? 19 points vs Mahomes when he's on the field that long is one damn achievement.

Nope, this is on the offense alone.

In the beginning they both stunk. The defense settled in, they are both to blame.

Aikman didn’t expose a damn thing. Broncos and Chiefs did that. They need to come up with another offensive scheme because they have been figured out. Just like the Bills, this team is falling apart because they’ve been exposed, picked apart, and blueprinted.

How about some short slants when the defense blitzes the A gap constantly.

I heard Aikman say the Cowboys needed to run the ball more than they were.
And he was right. Offensive line was looking to get Dak injured. A lot of instant pressure and lookout blocks. We passed 43 times to 16 runs. Crazy when we seen since the first drive the Oline couldn't pass block worth a crap.

Yea they were run blitzing and Dallas didn't do much to take advantage of the space they vacated.

Exactly. Kellen Moore sort of reminded me of Jason Garrett's "we don't care what they do or if they know whats coming if we execute it works". Both Garrett and Kellen more are terrible at making adjustments especially in game. I hate that we waste QB's like Tony Romo and Dak Prescott prime years on experimental coaches aka Jason Garrett and Kellen Moore. Both started out as OC's in Dallas after no experience. Kellen Moore was also forced on McCarthy like how Jason Garrett was forced on Wade. Just terrible. Both of those OC's look good because the talent (when healthy) the cowboys have on offense.

There was at least 10 or more points left on the field due to poor player execution.

Aikman’s 92 playoff run was one of the greatest of all times and ridiculous for that era.

“Troy Aikman had a passer rating of 106.3 with 2915 yards, 21 touchdowns and 8 interceptions in 11 games in the playoffs between the 1992 and 1995 seasons.”

If he wanted to pad his stats he could have easily done it, but he sacrificed for Emmitt at the goal line.
His SB performance against the Bills was one of the greatest you’ll ever see.

Comparing stats between eras is asinine:

Marino and Elway threw under 60%, less than Aikman’s career average and Mac Jones threw for 70% against the Falcons just last week. Stats in that era were completely different, because DBs could put their hands on WRs and you could literally launch yourself off the ground at a WR going over the middle. Teams get away with pick plays nowadays, that didn’t work back than, because the DBs would blow up the pick play.

QBs could be hit below the legs of the hands could hit the helmet without penalty and so on. If you go back even further, to the 70s, guys like Deacon Jones would slap the helmets of OL guys, which is illegal today.
You really cannot compare today's stats to the past because of the things you listed. The NFL made a decision to change the game for safety reason's and to generate higher scoring games.
