And it is insulting because the team he is talking about made him what he is the people who cheer for that team week in and week out are the ones who paid his check so he needs to shut up.
And just so everyone knows it isn't helping him any because My brother is an Eagles fan and he puts the TV on mute and listens to the eagles radio broadcast online form a philly station because he and his buddys who are eagles fans say the only thing worst then listening to Troy is listening to troy cheer for the eagles.

Troy Aikman has the right to say anything he wants about the Cowboys as long as he does it in a respectful and professional manner.

He Earned that right by delivering us 3 Superbowls at the expense of his Health.

He is more a Cowboy than anyone on this board could ever hope to be.

And if you do not like that ..... I could care less.

Well if you used one on yourself you could get rid of one idiot and not have to worry about dealing with all the other Troy homers. You guys are prolly the same people who live in the past. 5 Superbowls blah blah blah don't you get tired of saying that? I did in 99 I want more. I want something now. So Troy means as much to me now as them 5 Championships do. Tony means something T.O. means something and this 9-1 season means something. Nothing else matters now.

You are in no way shape or form a Cowboys fan. Troll turd.

Agreed!!! He was really jockin the Foreskins hard yesterday tho. It was sickening!!!:banghead:

I think you're crazy. I think he was pretty positive about the Cowboys, especially Romo and TO. I think the Commanders fans are probably complaining about his pro-Cowboys talk.

What do you expect him to do? Be a homer for the team? Give me a break!

Every other ex player that ever announce or commentating always have a little homerism that u see but Aikman shows none, maybe some now in then..... everybody on ESPN, NFL network all say the Cowboys are the team to beat but leave to Aikman he makes u feel like the Cowboys are like 6-4 or something/

Bingo!

I remember when I was a Cub Scout back in the 60's and my mom, who bordered on doting, was the "Den Mother"...

She went soooo far out of her way NOT to show any "favoritism" towards me during Den Meetings... that I often felt like I was on the outside looking in.

Eventually I threatened to fire her if she didn't shape up.... :)

I think Troy may overcompensate in an exaggerated attempt NOT to appear partisan. He's ALSO human and prone to many of the flaws that affect non-NFL-calibre talent like me and you.

Exactly. There is no "hate" in his words but he obviously overcompensates sometimes. And ya, it can get a little annoying, despite the fact that I know he truly feels like a Cowboy at heart.

So funny how Hostile posts pretty concrete EVIDENCE that the "Troy hates the Cowboys!" stuff is complete B.S... and so the cry-babies have to look the other way and pretend they didn't see it. Despite the huge red text.

Troy's about as unbiased as they come... Giants fans last week complained that he was too anti-Giants. Commanders fans this week complained that he was too anti-Commanders.

And of course, we have our own cry-babies here as well who soak their hankies every time Troy does the commentary for a Cowboys game.

You know what would be really cool, if all of the Troy haters would quote all the good things Troy said throughout the game about the Cowboys.

Nope, instead they ignore the broadcast in its entirety and harp on whatever Troy said about Dallas that was not glowing.

How ignorant and lame.

I get so tired of these bunch of crying little girls. Grow up. And to all the Ladies who have more sense than these cry babies, forgive me for saying "like a bunch of crying little girls." Troy doesn't say what I want him to, waaaaa, waaaaa, waaaaa."

Anybody who thinks Troy is a homer - is over-sensitive beyond belief. Cowboys fans routinely weigh-in incensed at perceived slights by Aikman...

He's ten times the objective observer Theissman ever was. And 100 times the booth talent.

Call ME a homer but... Aikman is pretty easily the top of the totem-pole when it comes to Fox's roster of announcers and it's only a matter of time before he's working the Sunday Night/Monday Night booth in primetime.

He's as serious about the job as he was about QBing teams to championships. And we ALL know how that worked out....

(I also read that Troy'd like to get on the track for a GM job - guy apparently misses the competition but has no desire to coach....)

Congratulations! My little girl is 19 now, they grow up fast, enjoy her, they are a great blessing. She had to grow up with 3 brothers, but she has done well, and is a faithful Cowboys fan!

...I can't believe this thread.

Does anyone else realize who Troy is working for?

Joe: "Troy, Murdoch just called and is worried about us televising a stinker."

Troy: "No problem Joe, I will even out the results by hanging on the Commanders jock. Maybe that way we can keep a few more of the Skins viewers."

It not out of the realm of possibility that people who lives depend on the strength of a football telecast talk to their commentators prior to the telecast. They discuss the probability of the outcomes of the games and discuss the game plan they have for keeping the viewers interested.

Also, you have to think that Troy is not cognizant of which team he will be forever associated with during and after he is gone from this world. He needs to temper any supposed Cowboys enthusiasm in order to maintain credibility with the rest of the NFL fandom and thereby secure his job as an analyst of NFL games, not just the Cowboys ones.

Good Lord our favourite team just won and you think Roy Williams and Troy Aikman spent their Sunday afternoon butchering babies given some of the responses on this forum.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice. She has two older brothers, I feel sorry for her when she reaches dating age.

I already hold her in my lap for as long as I can during Cowboy football games, I plan on having her well trained in the ways Cowboy fandom!:starspin
