Aikman's Hatred for the Cowboys...shyaa!!

Some Cowboys need to grow a pair and quit their incessant whining.

So much whining anymore about the media...

http://i18.***BLOCKED***/albums/b133/BrAinPaiNt/ItsNotFair.jpg

People think that ESPN and Fox should be the Cowboys network.

They are not paid to kiss the cowboys butt.

You would think by some people on here that Troy is playing the role of Key Johnson or Skip Bayless when he clearly is not.

He is calling a game objectively.

Funny thing is when someone else is calling a game and being a homer, the very same people here start whining because that person is being a homer for another team.

They hate Jaws because they think he is an eagles homer, they hated theezman because he was a skins homer, they hate tiki because he is a giants homer. They complain because those guys can not be objective.

But ooooh if someone is actually objective and does not kiss cowboy butt, like Troy, they get as mad as a hungry fat guy at a jenny craig convention.

It is quite clear troy is being objective in his duties with fox. You can see the homer in him come out when he does his radio shows so the difference is there.

Unlike some of the non professionals on the main media shows, he actually tries to be objective.

But I don't know why I am wasting my time because this will just fall on deaf ears of all of those that whine, cry and throw temper tantrums about any commentator that does not bow down to all things cowboys.

How about some people grow a pair, how about some people remove the sand from their nether regions...in other words Cowboy Up.

Another boohoohoohoohoo Troy said said something nice about someone besides the Cowboys thread.

Objectivety folks.....try it sometime....you'll be taken more serious.

WHO CARES??? Really,, why care what Troy says? He is NOT a member of the Dallas Cowboys. His check is NOT signed by Jerry Jones. All I care about is that when he played here, he played his heart out and did everything he could to make that team successful. What he does now.. i don't care. He has the right to say what he wants to say. He has the right to do what he wants. He has the right to like who he wants. Just because we are fans of this team does NOT mean that everyone that played for this team has to be a fan. Come on. Who cares. Just apperciate what he did while he wore the star and let it go.

The one thing that people seem to have glommed on to is the comment about the Thanksgiving day game and the game before being an "unfair advantage" to the home teams (meaning both Detroit and Dallas). I think it is funny that all these d'arses are selectively forgetting that he meant it towards the Lions as well. So the comment pissed you off because you want the Boys to have an advantage? Get over it. Friggen whiners. HOS and Brain pretty much nailed it and even then these "fans" keep crying.

GET OFF THE BANDWAGON! TROY HATES THE COWBOYS! THE SKY WILL FALL ANY SECOND NOW!

Listen objectively to Troys comments and you may find the objectivity in his comments.

Hey...don't get me wrong, Troy always will be one of may favorites, right up there with Roger, TonyD and Emmitt, but when Steve Young gives more compliments to the 'boys than Troy does...do the math.

Troy has many great things to say about the Cowboys and has, but he works for FOX not the Silver Star Network owned by the Cowboys. His job at FOX is to give his opinion not drool over the Cowboys. If he did that he would not be the #1 team at FOX.

I have to agree with BrainPaint.

How many former Cowboys does the media have to employ before people stop accusing them of being biased towards Dallas.

Is there any other team in the NFL that has more of their former players and coaches as mediots than the Cowboys.

Keyshawn Johnson
Daryl Johnston
Troy Aikman
Michael Irvin
Emmitt Smith
Deion Sanders
Jimmy Johnson
Bill Parcells
Darren Woodson

All Troy did was compliment the Commanders during the game and downplayed what Dallas was doing. Troy said his favorite player in the NFL is Clinton Portis!! I was at a game party with 30 people and everyone was booing Troy for his anti-cowboys statements.

He laughed when that was said. Troy also talked about the Cowboys and while he did compliment the Commanders they deserved it based on their play in the game.

When he said his favorite player was Clinton Portis, he was dead serious. Everyone at the party yelled "WHAT?" He likes to brag on other teams when they make a few great plays while dissing the Cowboys and there's no reason to do that.

He laughed it off and they started talking about the ugly shoes and how Portis dresses up in caracter during interviews and they started laughing about it. He was joking. Even if you think he was dead serious what does it matter? It is like you expect him to bow down before the Cowboy fans and only talk about the Cowboys. Well you do that on the Star Network which Jones is the owner of you don't do it on FOX and you don't become the #1 crew by being a homer. Troy does his job and does it very well that is why he is in the position he is currently in.

And why did he say "Clinton Portis MIGHT be his favorite player in the NFL?"

Because he picks up blitzes, he blocks, he does the little things that most backs won't or don't do.

If you know anything about Troy Aikman THE PLAYER then this comment wouldn't surprise you a bit. Aikman has always loved the guys who will do whatever it takes for your team to win.

I personally like Terrell Owens for the same reason. I don't know how many people pay attention to it (Aikman does because I've heard him comment on it before) but Owens is a great blocker and plays tougher than most WR's.

I'll say it again. "He likes to brag on other teams when they make a few great plays while dissing the Cowboys and there's no reason to do that."

He makes us look foolish sometimes and there's no excuse for it. Unbiased doesn't mean he has to be a basher. The Cowboys made him who he is today. I respect Troy's years in Dallas and I have alot of Aikman memorabilia, but he needs to stop being negative towards the boys who are FRIGGIN' 9-1 for God's sake.:bang2:

He kinda had a hand in making the Cowboys who they are too. Stop being so sensitive.

Evidently we are not seeing the same broadcast or you are overly sensitive about what Troy is saying. He had a lot of good comments about the Cowboys as well.

I'm in the majority on this topic. You and Doomsday are only a small handful of fans who don't see it. I am a Troy Aikman Fan when he was playing. He's just not a good commentator. If Clinton Portis is his favorite player out of all great players in the NFL then he's a bit off.

I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. I was not offended by anything Troy said or did nor did I think he was bashing the Cowboys at any point. If you do then fine.

Whether Troy Aikman is a hater or homer, is beside the point in my mind. In my opinion, he and Joe Buck are an unwatchable duo. Aikman makes very few "technical" football points and I sometimes wonder if he and Joe are paying attention to the action.

There was one play where TO was clearly interfered with and he got up complaining. The replay was shown (which was a miracle in and of itself) and it seemed to clearly confirm Springs had interfered with him before the ball arrived. What did Buck and Troy have to say about the replay after noting that TO was complaining about PI? Nothing. Were they not paying attention or did they not wish to comment? I think as the color guy, he was obligated to give his opinion there, but this falls in line with most of the games they do. I think the production quality is absolute garbage. The fact that they don't give the starting lineup is utterly ridiculous, and in my mind, kind of unfair to non-skill position players. The o-linemen rarely get their names called unless they have a penalty or get hurt, so I think showing their face on TV is the least they can do.

I'm sorry to say I usually mute them. Joe Buck's voice gives me the dry heaves and Aikman isn't a ton better. I don't care whether he likes the Cowboys or not or that he QB'ed us to three SB's, I think he sucks as an announcer and that he and Buck are one of the worst duos on TV.
