Agreed and the contract is a concern. I’d like them to keep it under 45 per year. Crazy # but in line with current salaries. The Mahomes 10 for 450 is looking like a steal.

I think the NFLPA is upset with Brady and Mahomes.

Plays behind argurably one of the best if not the best OL. Watching the games(since I'm near philly) the OC and coach have that offense and play design dialed in like no other.

However if you get to him he makes horrendous decisions. Not a great pocket passer. Majority of the running "QB's" time to shine usually only lasts a few years.

Not sure why teams don't have someone spying on him at all times. Also yesterday game was driving me crazy. So many times they had him dead to rights but the DE forced him outside instead of inside. Reminds me of Tank always turning the QB to the sidelines.

I was dead wrong about him. I admit it. I ragged on him about just being a 1 read guy. He's MUCH MUCH better than that. He has honed his accuracy as well. He's a triple threat. Leadership, Running, and passing.

I didn't have doubt about him, but I always thought he had something. As long as you excel at something in the NFL, you can have a chance to be good.

1.) Comparing Hurts to TeBow is nuts, he is obviously better (by a lot)
2.) the big thing is the jump he made between last year and this year in his passing game
3.) The eGirls are going to be forced to pay him now, what does this mean for future spots they need to fill (they are on the wrong side of 30 in some key areas)
4.) He runs too much and if he gets injured, what does he become? He is not a pass first kind of player......

I personally don't know what he really is long term, but for anyone to say he is JAG or compare to Tim TeBow, you are kidding yourself.

That said we take care of our own business and none of this matters.

He is the Lamar Jackson of the NFC.
Great runner and decent passer.

Seems like hurts uses the rpo a lot. He will get hit by someone running when he don’t see it coming that will change his play a little. There is a few running qbs in the league and they don’t last without being able to pass at a higher level also. There is a string of them that are no longer playing. Dak will be lucky if he can find that blend of scaring teams by running when needed and being able to make the throws also on a consistent level. He had a massive ankle injury that’s changed him.

the same can be said for one Patrick Lavon Mahomes II. He is very much average at best when you take away the scrambling ability, and the 15 second gymnastics routine, and then a wide open tight end for 8 yards

dude just stop if you cant have serious debate, dont reply.. Mahomes and Hurts ore two very different qbs in 2 very different offenses. Mahomes runs pro-style offense and had the best wr in the league taken away and still on pace for another MVP season. Hes a pocket passer that can move, he can stand in and pass or move and extend plays. hes nowhere close to a Hurts type. Fields, Jackson, Rg3, Kap, Vick, Hurts and others those are similar qbs.

Hurts is way better than we think. They have been an offensive juggernaut all year. Great receiving core. Good RBs. Good OL. Good defense. I despise the Eagles but sadly they are really good.

I think people are having a hard time admitting Jalen is improving each year and has been since at OU. This is literally his second season starting his first was when he was brought in during Wentz time three years ago. This being year two and already been to playoffs last year is just showing his hard work paying off. Hurts this season can actually have a fair comparison to Dak as he now has weapons.

He’s been very good from the pocket.

Hurts' passer rating has increased by +23.1 points inside the pocket from last season, again the second-biggest gain in the league behind Tagovailoa. He's top three in the NFL in completion rate, yards per attempt and passer rating inside the pocket.

At times he’ll see the rush and drop his eyes or break the pocket too early when he can step up but those are minor when you look at the overall improvement.

The Packers did spy him but Hurts beat the spy. Unless the spy is as good an athlete as the QB spying doesn’t work.

This Eagles team looks every bit the contender for the NFC berth in the Super Bowl. Hurts throws a great deal better than people give him credit for. He's an explosive runner. And the team built around him is extremely physical.

With two first round picks this off season, I think there is a possibility the Eagles have the goods to go on a run like the 92-95 Cowboys. As a Cowboy fan, that idea rankles me. But as a football fan, you have to give them their due. That is a really good football team that shows up every Sunday.
