I've seen alot of good highlights but this one is the best I've seen. All credit to the creator of this video, you did a great job.

Sorry but this doesn't come close to being the a great Emmitt Smith video IMO. The creator simply runs the same VERY SHORT clips over and over and over and most just show spin moves and jukes, but every single running back has those.

It's not the spin or the juke that makes a run a highlight, it's the FULL play. For example, a running back could do a spin move and a juke on one play and still lose 10 yards.

On a side note .. I've noticed a trend with videos that the music used in videos (not just sports related either) greatly impacts that opinions of the viewers on whether or not they love, like or hate the video.

How the hell can they leave out his record-breaking run vs. Seattle in 2002?

Other than that glaring omission, nice video. It'll come in handy the next time I hear someone argue that Emmitt had no moves.

Whether you like the video or not, it reminds you how awesome Emmitt really was. I think we all tend to forget or take for granted how great he really was and we talk about the "Next" Emmitt. I think all the talk about any of our running backs being the "next" Emmitt need to stop. I admit I was guilty of it as well. This video reminded me how freaking great he really was. So much for "his line made him great" comments. Did you see how many times he was getting hit behind the line or had to set up his blocks? We just tend to overlook that stuff. Wow! just wow..

I'm not sure if it's the greatest video of Emmitt out there either but it does remind us of the greatest running game ever. On a side note can we give Choice more reps, huh Jerry???:a-team:

I was at the Atlanta game at the 2:06 mark. It happened on the other end of the field and I was watching with binoculars. Everyone around me looked at me like I was insane when I was screaming "Touchdown!!!" because they thought the play was over.

What I especially like about that video is how it totally debunks the idea that he was great because of his O-line. It shows he was great because he ran with heart. In many of the clips you don't even see his Linemen yet he is breaking tackles in numerous ways. His O-line was great because of him, not the other way around.

Awesome video. Emmitt was, without a doubt, special. I have many very fond memories of watching him play as I saw every single snap he ever played in Dallas.

:hammer:

Emmitt's balance was uncanny. Also, his vision and the way he used his off hand was masterful. That dude is the G.O.A.T.

I liked those short clips of him making great juke moves. It got you into the action and then about 1:80 and up You got the entire package of the long runs and then his blocking. it had it all, even if it doesnt have the record breaker.

I liked it more then any I've seen.

That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw this.

a little off topic but.

Youtube drives me crazy. Anytime I upload any videos I have made I get my account banned!

this guy made an emmit video and an owens video. The emmit video has over 40,000 hits and the owens over 5000 how does he not get his stuff pulled!

I spend a lot of time on the vids I make and then have no way to get them to everyone!!!!

oh and God I miss emmitt. Those sunday afternoons in the early 90s were incredible.

It's quite possible that someone is jealous of you or does not like you and is reporting your videos. Who knows, it could very well be the person who created the video above.

Then again, I've seen multiple copies of the video above with different songs and this person could have just ripped it and pasted yet-another-random-song to it.

thanks for posting the vid.

He singlehandedly got me interested in the game. He was my boyhood idol growing up in elementary school. I can remember once a year having the oppertunity to buy posters at the school I attended under some kind of academic program, and how jazzed I was to be able to get a couple Emmitt or Aikman posters every year.

The best thing about him was how reliable he was. Always good for break out runs, it seemed like clockwork every game. Just a matter of time before he broke one big to change the momentum of the game. As a young boy who didn't understand the game and really couldn't understand watching the team on defense, he single-handedly kept me interested by his playmaking ability.

There will never be another one like him. Only two names even enter the equation for me after watching film on them in later years, and its Payton and Sanders and thats only by virtue of their running ability. Smith was the whole package, he could run he could catch he could block. They'd show replays of good throws and you'd see Emmitt taking out a rusher at the knees totally taking him out of the play. What a beast!

I know we had Aikman and Irvin but Emmitt was the centerpiece of our offense. What a nose for the end zone he had.
