American Idol

did anyone watch? all i have to say is that lacey brown deserved to get booted off. her version of "ruby tuesday" wasn't good at all.

I watched. Siobhan Magnus was amazing. I was just flat out in awe of her voice. Now that the lesser singers are getting phased out, it is becoming obvious that there are four or five of these folks that are really talented.

Not sure any of them are in her class (voice wise)

I refuse to watch that show since they stole my nickname "American Idol" :laugh2:

I think they spelled it "American Idle" with you though. ;)

Wow, I thought Siobhan was horrendous this week. I really thought last week was bad for her too. The only one I really liked from her was the Aretha song.

Seriously? Horrendous in what way? The singing was incredible. The interesting-factor was through the roof. She's by and away my favorite on the show (probably from all seasons) because shes just weird. It's a genuine, all-natural weirdness that makes her interesting. They tried to compare her to Adam Lambert, but that was a serious disservice because she doesn't try to be odd, she just is.

I think Andrew deserved to go before Lacey. Everyone is just so mediocre. I wanted to vote for David Cook.

I thought Siobhan's torch-song intro/off-key scream arrangement was awful--and not sung all that well. Her voice is OK, but that just didn't work at all, and didn't do the song any justice. Actually, the whole night was a big bucket of FAIL. I hope it's the last time they try to shoehorn the Stones catalog into the show.

I keep watching to see if any of them can impress, but so far, not good. Bowersox and the big trainer dude know how to perform on a stage, but even they're just average in this format. I guess Simon's getting out at the right time...or maybe a year too late.

Right, except for me the whole season has been FAIL. The way they are hyping up Siobahn like shes the season's Adam Lambert is hilarious. Looks like TBTB want a Siobahn vs Crystal showdown.

The intro and the "scream" were the best parts.

She's infinitely better and more interesting than Lambert.

I didn't get to see it. So I just watched it on youtube.

I have no idea what some of you were listening to if you thought that was a poor performance. That girl (whom I have not heard until now) hit a grand slam with that.

In the words of Ke$ha....stop talk, talk, talking that blah blah blah.

That's what I like about this Zone. I like hearing other people's opinions on all of these various topics, even when they differ from my own (and appear induced by crystal meth (I kid, I kid! ;) )!

so did i. he showed those people how it's really done on that stage.:D

Really? I fast forwarded through Cook after about 20 seconds. I thought it was boring.

No. I hadn't seen her until I watched the performance of "Paint it Black." She sounds pretty good to me.

Hos, you should check out the rest of her work on the show. She is amazing. Go to this link, then scroll right across the bottom until you get to each of her songs.

Her version of House of the Rising Sun was spectacular - it shows that she is not just a big voice... Her tone is ethereal.

In particular, watch the last 20 seconds or so of her Think performance.

Probably only a matter of time until she sings Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U.
