Can they please cut this week down to just one show. I couldn't even watch last night because it was horribly BORING! I told my family that I'm just going to have to pick it back up next week when they decide to let the talent drive the show instead of fabricating drama to get more shows on the air.

No kidding....the results show should be during a commercial break. All it takes is 10 seconds to say "The contestant that is going home this week is" then back to regular programming.

I hate all these reality shows.

My wife loves them.

It's her mental escape from living with her husband... she deserves an alternate reality to that one... :D

All I know is that the guy that did the Pauala Abdul cover was awesome. To take that goofy pop song and make it into something soulful was brilliant.

I agree. He took "Straight up now, tell me" and gave it a Santana-esque style. It was really good! His last name is Garcia.

.Chris Golightly Disqualified, Tim Urban In For American Idol Top 24
Written under: Entertainment, Music

American Idol 2010 Top 24 Chris Golightly from the Los Angeles auditions has been disqualified from the contest and is being replaced by Tim Urban.

According to a statement from FOX, “It has been determined that Chris Golightly is ineligible to continue in the competition”. Now speculations are floating why Golightly was disqualified.

However, the most acceptable reason for the disqualification is Golightly’s existing old contract with a boy band that expired in June 2009 – to which he could not produce release papers for to prove its expiration.

Unfortunately, the old manager was able to email the contract release but Idol execs have already made their decision. Now, Chris Golightly has to wait for two years to be able to try again for American Idol because he made it to the top 46 this year.

Yup, that guy is the type of talent that makes the show worthwhile.

when paige myles started singing "all right now" by free, all i was thinking was "oh god, no," because it was bad, & david cook had sung that song during season 7 & did a heck of a lot better.

The 4th one was good, too. Her name is Lilly, I think. She's a true artist, imo. Living out of your car isn't an easy choice to make in life.

i like lilly too. i think she's cool, & i like her hair as well. as for her living out of her car, that's got to be a hard decision to make if someone like her really wants to make it in music. :D

I didn't think any of the girls did well. I'll chalk it up to being nervous this week. I know I would be.

I haven't been following this thread, but I'll say this.

Ellen is a terrible, weak judge and this show is going to suffer when Simon leaves.
