Did it ever occur to you that A&M is reamed for it's stupidity because it acts stupid? Something to ponder.

Our administration felt the lack of program stability within the Big XII, as well as the prospect of a better television deal with increased revenue, was reason enough to change conferences. Everything else is just banter between fanbases.

Had the SEC come calling in Waco, Baylor wouldnt have been able to sign on the dotted line fast enough and don't you doubt it for a second. I read more than a few threads on that baylorfans site BEGGING Starr to try and hitch his wagon to A&M to the SEC, and who could blame them? The Big XII appeared ready to go under and they were at risk of being left out in the cold. How can you in good faith sit here and blame us for a move your program and most others in the country would have jumped at the chance for?

3% of the student body is in the corps and we're less ethnically diverse than UT, so we're essentially the equivalent of **** Germany. It's what passes for humor in certain places.

Not very bright to seek a venue they cant sell, apparently attendance peaked at 66k, even Baylor vs Texas tech fetched 72k at the same stadium...in 2009 when neither team was hot

That's what I thought he meant but didn't have the cajones to say it.I'm not an Aggie,but highly respect the school and the Corp. Have, and had,a lot of friends who served with me who were Corp members. Seems to be a sign of the times again.<rant off>

never heard of aggies being racist against gypsies. I used to have a family that lived across the street that called themselves gypsies, seemed nice enough to me. Are gypsies not allowed in the service academies or Virginia Tech?

LOL, A&M's greatest success came in the 80s under the scandalous reign of Jackie Sherrill who narrowly avoided giving A&m the death penalty due to political wheeling and dealing that saved their butt, in fact so grievous are A&M's cheating infractions that they rank among the 10 most marred athletic departments in the NCAA's history.

But despite their penchant for bending the rules and proclaiming each new coach a savior they quickly fall back into mediocrity, they have won less than Baylor in the last four years and have identical records to Baylor in four of the last nine seasons, hardly any envy.

No one envies A&M, the fact you are ignorant of them is partially a blessing but don't interject yourself in something you know nothing about.
