Deuce will not be our primary RB, but you get this kid in space and he is a threat.
That last run in the clip vs Texas, he nearly broke Overshowns ankles.
If used correctly, Duece will have his own highlight reel in Dallas.

The only concern I have is when he does get into the backfield for a play everyone in the Universe is going to either think or know he is getting the ball, and that is not good.

LOL Sure. My reliability is of no concern. Im not a decision maker on this team.

I, like every other wanna be team owner on this board, am simply stating my opinion.
You admitted that you have been only looking for things to be contrary to.

Your reliability to yourself is one thing but for anyone interested in objectivity it is another.

Or they use him on pass routes and use the TE for an extra protector.

He's a speedy little mouse I'll tell you that! lol. What I mean is when he enters the game, the defense is going to key on him big time, however, that might open up something else that the defense was not prepared for and while they are watching him, BAM, a long ball downfield for an Int! J/k

If this coaching staff uses this guy right, he is going to make some heads turn. Watch his vision when he runs, he is always looking for open avenues to run. I know, if it wasnt for Pollard, we would all be scratching our head as to what that means :)

You finally watched a highlight reel of Duece? The kid looks like Barry Sanders in his highlight reel. LOL

Watching what he can or cant do is going to be one of the more interesting developments this year. I love the kid, but his size naturally brings doubts.

If they want to focus on the rookie RB and ignore Lamb and Cooks it works for me.

CowboysZone: RB is a low value position where you can get an impact player late in the draft. Dallas better not use a high draft pick on a RB!
Cowboys: *drafts high production RB late in draft*
CowboysZone: This guy is a bust! Look how late he was drafted!!!!

All great to see. But what about the runs he didn't make, or got stuffed or 1 or 2 yard gains?

Not to down play it. But no RB runs like the in the NFL all the time. They will need to design some pretty good plays, and hope it takes some time before the defenses to figure it out.

I think he can have some success. But how often will he be in the game. I guess a strong TC will help with that.
GREATEST POST OF YOUR LIFE, I happened to watch the game film where he actually didn't break all these long runs etc etc, we can't get all gassed up with these big runs we see they're highlight videos for a reason

LOL, a lot of guys here think he's a gimmick player because of his size and a 6th rd pick......that is the farthest thing from the truth. He is a football player...doesn't need any gimmick plays to blow past the LOS.

Heck even Barry Sanders looked pedestrian many times behind the LOS....then he blew by you.

With proper blocking he will be a force to reckon with , need to know whether he can survive being RB in the league , without injuries.

But he was concerned about not being drafted. Jerry stepped in and swooped on a feel good headline, saving the day.
Well if you describe being the #1 player on their board when the Cowboys were on the clock and then actually drafting him "Jerry stepped in and swooped on a feel good headline, saving the day" then I guess your right.

There are far more stuffs than big runs. You dont have the meager YPC average that he did unless he was stopped a lot to offset those big, hilight real runs.

And he won't have those in the NFL. Maybe some other league.
He won't have that college YPC. But Deuce is legit player imo. Perfect pick round 6 in hindsight. There was def a lot of nepotism but this may be a rare case of nepotism spawning a decent player..round 6 value..as an in-house prospect.

Dude you're a hater you have blind faith you're making wholesale assumptions that the guys gonna fail and he's a bad pick before it happens you say you have blind faith you have zero faith you're already saying this guy is gonna be a failure... Sell that to someone else who actually doesn't have a clue I have a clue I watched this guy play in college he may not play like that in the NFL but if he's even 50% of that for us it's a win the guys not kevonte Turpin he's not a special teams guy he's not a gadget player the dude literally from high school through college has been a high producing running back he is not just some gadget type player he's gonna be much like Pollard Tony Pollard once given a shot both in running and catching the ball out of the backfield he'll show you that in split limited carries he's gonna be productive we're not asking this guy to be Ezekiel Elliott because Tony Pollard can't even be Ezekiel Elliott they're all gonna need to share carries this is gonna be a running back by committee with Tony Pollard leading the way but these other guys are gonna get their carries and it's gonna be limited but it's gonna be effective and I also leave that up to the coaching staff so we can make no sense to you makes sense to me the fact that you already think this guy was a bad pick really and a late round guy already a failure you're just upset some of us see the positive side of it and most cowboy fans nowadays just want to see the negative and everything I watched the film I seen what he's done all the way back to high school he's not just productive he's a highly productive running back not a gadget guy when are you going to get that wrapped around you head head..

My expectations for deuce Vaughn is to be much like Pollard white as his first couple of years and once he picks up the offense he'll get more and more carries but this guy can play running back just because of his size he may not get to be the big dog on campus but he sure is going to be effective enough to contribute to this team..
