Another layer to Zeke's case

And there's the key word once again, just like with Brady, "procedural violation", not on the merits of facts of the case, so once again the NFLPA will try to cherry pick some judge, probably won't be in New York court, who will side with them on some ridiculous "procedural violation motion for which in the end Zeke will lose on appeal, just like with Brady did and serve whatever suspension the league imposes....Rather just serve your punishment and move on and get it behind you

Can't do it, man. This is about protecting women. If they say it happened, it happened. Regardless of evidence.

It seems completely normal to suspend the player on her word despite the evidence, then not allow any of her testimony be part of an appeal.

This is true equality. We've finally accomplished it.

Amen. I'm sure all women will feel better knowing that a champion of their cause uses blackmail and extortion as appropriate forms of justice given the circumstance. This won't affect the way decent men feel about this subject one iota.

No he has a better chance of winning it court. In court you have real judges, and real evidence produced by both parties of an argument. None of this banana appeal system and investigative team which the NFL has setup as an extravagant witch hunt just to appease the public.

Kessler is a good lawyer. He is respected and judges actually listen to his case. He made the NFL look like fools and exposed them for their lies.

If Brady wanted to he could have taken this to the supreme court and win. Besides this isn't Deflategate.

This is a totally different set of circumstances in which several witnesses and sworn affidavits written favor Zeke. The NFL will have a tougher time with this case then they did with Deflategate.

Im just baffled that people think when it goes to court it will be about whether he is guilty or not.

This article specifically says their case will revolve about whether the NFL made procedural errors in suspending Zeke. Give the article a read will you?

It so easy for fans to say just take the punishment and be called a woman beater for the rest of your life.........

Have no idea why some draw the parallel of Zeke to Brady's situation. Brady's case was about cheating and jeopardizing the integrity of the game, something the court really has no say in.

Zeke has been labeled a woman beater by an NFL internal investigation with questionable at best evidence. They have no business conducting their own criminal investigation when the outside courts didn't even find enough to charge him with anything.

Two completely different issues.

Not really different from a legal standpoint.

You come off like you're suggesting the procedural violation angle implies guilt on Zeke's part. That would be absurd if that is what you meant.

I think it stands and they are lock-step on it.
I absolutely don't agree with this, but I see it and I think it's happening.

6 games. Learn your lesson Zeke. Time to grow up. I feel you- I've been there and I'm still paying. Stop losing what you have no reason to lose.
Wow, and what lesson would that be (if Zeke is innocent). If he didn't do it, fight it. There's the stigma of being a dv abuser at stake. If I were him, I'd use every resource to clear his name.

And I hope that's the point from Zeke's pov. The damage may be done. But at least fight to clear your name.

Just like the NFL will cherry pick some judge and try and file their papers millseconds after the appeal hearing.
