Absolutely no one. He isn't even remotely the problem. We need to get him a better backup and shore up the O-line.

how do you shore up the O-line when practically the entire line just got megabucks?

the line aint changing.

I would rather Draft a young QB like Colt McCoy (next Drew Breese) and be building something for the future. I am starting to believe Tony Romo is not the answer. He is a descent backup QB but makes too many mistakes to be a fulltime starter.

What are we going to use for draft picks?

Because any rationale fan realizes replacing Romo isn't a logical answer at this time.

That is so true. Romo will not get replaced, no matter how much he stinks it up. I mean, the GM/owner has made his bed in the form of a 67 million/6-year deal with Romo, not to mention guys like Flozell, Roy Williams(s), T.O., etc. The die was cast for this year to be it, the year of the great push, but it has turned badly. Things need to change. I'm getting off the point here.

Yes, Romo makes stupid decisions (O line needs to protect), throws lame ducks from time to time (usually because he is running for his life, although he was praised for a while for his "accuracy outside the pocket") , and shows no visible leadership skills. He has the 'it's just a game, you win some you lose some attitude' that is really rubbing many the wrong way right now.

The bottom line is he is not going anywhere. The GM has made the decision. Think about it, how much longer would Carter have been around if he hadn't screwed up by getting popped in a test? Well not that much longer as Bill was in town and making logical decisions, but that is part of the point; someone other than Jerry is needed to make decision on personnel/football operations. That is the key to this whole equation. Tough decisions need to be made. Coaching needs to be honsetly evaluated. The team as a whole, not individual names needs to be evaluated. Do we have the management to do it? Based off what I have seen, I'm not sure.

This is a bad way to end the season. Not much to look forward to next year. Let's not forget we have no 1st and 3rd round pics this draft. :(

Tony Romo isn't going anywhere, so it is pointless to even talk about it.

However, despite what some fans think, Tony Romo is not the best quarterback in the league and it isn't heresy to state that you would prefer someone else offer him.

Also, Tony Romo is part of the problem with the Cowboys.

He has too many turnovers and still doesn't protect the ball very well.

The good news is that most of Tony Romo's problems can be fixed.

Romo must start playing better. His December/January bugaboos are no longer an imaginary trend. They are the bonafide, real thing and define him even more so than any of the success he endures from September through November.

But, like you said, Romo's our guy. We're financially committed to him, quarterbacks don't grow on trees and it's in our best interest to move forward with him.

What I would like, however, is some semblence that he is receiving proper coaching and not only improving mechanical and intellectual aspects of his game, but has a constant bug up his *** in the form of a coach harping on him to not be reckless with the football.

It might be time for a QB coach, to teach him how to play the position.

How about Michael Vick - it will be another piece of the puzzle for the most talented team in the NFL. Dallas is like retreading a tire and last just as long leaving debris all over the highway to the end of the season.

This is for you guys that want to blame Romo for every little thing and say that you wish he were out of here.....

Tell me, who would you rather have that is available.

I want to hear your replacements, NOT whining.

I think if we are not being homers, and just being honest, there are a lot of QB's outplaying him right now.

*Philip Rivers
*Peyton Manning
*Donovan McNabb
*Drew Brees
*Jay Cutler
*Eli Manning
*Chad Pennington
*Matt Cassel

I wouldn't want all of those guys over him, but its time that we stop with the STATS mongering and look at WINNING and especially WINNING big games.

Again, I was shouted down this year, but I still would have taken Brady Quinn when we had the chance and had him develop behind Romo and by this time could have been pushing him. If you liked Romo better at that point, you could always trade Quinn and get good value for him. We didn't, and that is fine, especially considering who we got instead, but I believe they are going to have to push Romo for him to take the next step, and I'm not sure (nor is Michael Irvin) that the pressure isn't getting to him.

In terms of guys I'd rather have than Romo, I'd consider Aaron Rogers. He became only the 2nd player in NFL history to throw for 4000 yards in his first season where he started a game, 28 Passing TDs, 4 Rushing TDs, 13 Ints, and 64% completion percentage.

This was his first year -- he'll only be better next year.

He is in the "Robo-QB" mold that I always thought of Aikman being in.

I have a feeling you will not be here very long.

Dude, I'm a Texan... You can't ban a Texan from a Dallas Cowboys forum.

I have NO PROBLEM with Romo, anyone who does than I don't know what to tell you other than he is the last of our problems. When Romo gets time he's a very good QB. We would not have a team if it wasn't for Romo we would be back to the days of the 5-11 days real quick without Romo.

Let's give him the chance....this was his second full year of being the starting QB. People want to treat him as though he is a 7 year veteran in this game.

He IS still learning and will continue to get better, IMO.

So many of these same people wanted to get rid of Aikman back in the day.
I agree with this post but you're making too much sense some of these fans can't comprehend that.

One of my cousins, on yesterday even told me and he's not a Cowboys fan that they need to get rid of Romo.

For the one complaining about Romo, do they want to go back to the days of: Quincy Carter, Clint Stoerner, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, Vinny Testaverde, Ryan Leaf, ect that would be fun.

Without Romo, the Cowboys would never sniff the playoffs.

I don't blame Romo for the loss. I look at the game and see he is on of the biggest reason we lost. And not only yesterday. This counts for the whole season.

But to answer your question. I'd rather have Bollinger at QB then Romo right now. Just because with Bollinger i know what i get - a cheap quaterback who will win eventually one or two easy games for you.

With Romo i get a QB who wins all games he is supposed to win and kills your team big time when it counts. In the end he leaves you with empty hands AND pockets (see his contract). he gets paid like an all pro but plays like an medicore QB. Now he starts blaming the scheme and i can't deny the feeling that everytime he chokes on the field he has his injury in place to put the blame on. To me he has become more and more of a celeberity QB - he hasn't delivered at all when it counted but he talks in front of the media like he has invented football and the QB position.

Like Dukes said this kid right now is a coach killer. We have a talented coach at OC who just needs some time to develope his skills. Everybody talks about Romos talent but i haven't seen it this season. He plays good against medicore defenses but when he has toplay against good to great ones it seems the game is just a bit too fast for him.

I think Romo can be a good QB he even has the potential to be a great one - if coached right. But the coach who made him is long gone (BP) and without him Romo seems to live habits BP has warned him of.

As i mentioned Romo is a good QB but thats not enough for me when i look at the way we payed him and what we hoped of him. I'd rather have a medicore QB who gets paid like one then having a good one who plays only good in easy games and in the end kills all of your hopes you fought hard for.

At the end of the season this may be the worst thing that could happen. We may have no franchise QB.
