^^ thats what im basing my argument on, and its pretty well publisized that he didnt leave LA on very good terms with anyone!

so you dont care what he sais after he leaves, thats the kind of answer i wanted to hear. My theory, of course just a theory that i base on his history, is that he will lose the drive that is fueling him right now because he wont be out to prove something about the heat and he will gain weight, be injury prone again, and just continue to decline. Its just my theory, thats what i think he will do, nevermind that nash, bell, and hill arent getting any younger, this might be the year that the suns have the best chance at a championship, so they better take advantage of it, thats all i ment

I see your point and your time posting these quotes looks like he has left trouble in his wake. Except for my main issue with Bowen, I have had pretty decent things to say about a lot of teams. Most won't say anything decent about any other team except for maybe a couple here. I just like to talk basketball and root for my team but the NBA in general. Some like TO81 and a few others just like to say "Suns suck" or "Spurs suck" and then leave for a week with nothing to back up why they say that.

Bynum may be done for the year. Not good.

There was a very good chance of this being the case when he didn't come back after 8-10 weeks. He was due back the beginning of March but at the time he was to return he had just started jogging in a swimming pool.

The chances of him coming back at this point of the season and making a real contribution are small. It's still possible, but very unlikely he could make a real difference in the playoff race. Don't forget he is still what, 20 years old? And really only a half season of great play. Coming back at less than 100% could put his health at risk, not to mention the possibilities of messing up the team's chemistry in the thick of a playoff series.

I wouldn't write off the Lakers chances just yet, but with a full offseason and time to heal, a full season together next year, another year to grow for Bynum, who should be even better next year, then Kobe/Gasol/Bynum/Odom will be scary good and most likely the favorite to win the title.

the lakers are gonna give ANYONE a run for their money, i just dont think they are capable of winning a tought 7 game series against an expirienced team just yet, and i dont think they are capable of getting anywhere near the finals, but they will make some noise and give any team they play one hell of a scare
How bout them Lakers baby!

I'm very excited about the playoff's, Kobe and Gasol are playing great, Odom has stepped his game up and the bench is player great. The defence has also started to look much better, really promosing. Beating Dallas, New Orlenas and San Antonio in the last few weeks will give us the confidence and knowledge that we can beat anyone.

I don't expect to see Bynum until next year, as much as I would love to have him in the playoff's I think the team is more than fine without him.

Good luck on getting Gasol to step up in the playoffs. He usually comes up very small but that was on a team where he was the star so he could change.

They are peaking at the right time. I hope it isn't enough though.:
They have really steped up the defense. They seem more aggressive. This should also seal Kobes 1st MVP trophy. He should have one it the last 2 yrs if you ask me.

you do know i said that way before the gasol trade right?

its just a shame that there has yet to be a game between the spurs and lakers this year where both teams are at full strength, its gonna be hard to predict at playoff series between them

#1 Seed always gets booted...I hope. How boring would that be for the Lakers or Spurs to take the championship yet again.

I see the Suns sneaking up on everyone, pulling a NY Giants and winning it all! :p:

the only teams in the west that would "sneak up" on someone if they won the conference would be the nuggets and the rockets, everyone else is more than capable of it

On Mike & Mike this morning they had someone go through the Western Conference with who could win it:

Lakers - yes
Hornets - yes
Spurs - yes
Jazz - yes
Rockets - maybe
Suns - yes
Mavs - yes (as long as they stay at #7)
Nuggets - no

Things have changed a lot.

36 pts, 16rbs, 8 assists, 3 blocks on 14/20 shooting from the field, and 8/8 from the line.

ya but the lakers have no pressure yet, they are playing the nuggets, who didnt scare anyone that can semi play defense. i would hold out judgement on gasol until he gets into a pressure situation in pressure games, but at least you have kobe for that

Gasol has been in pressure situations since he has been a laker. I don't buy that at all.
