Any news on Henson?

Premature evaluation. Always a knee slapper.

I'll hold judgment (on both players) until there's actually some hard evidence.

So when (sorry, if) Henson throws several INTs against Arizona, will you see the light or remain on the Henson is our future side?

Denile is not just a river in Egypt

HH, come on.

If Tony throws a few picks Sat nite, will you write him off?

I know I won't.

Hey it's NastyDamus.

Nasty, predict for me who will be the first WR in NFL History to run a 30 yard slant.

That would be admitting failure too soon, but eventually I do think he will be cut or traded. We haven't seen anything in Henson yet to indicate he will be any better than those guys. The odds are just not in Henson's favor. It just makes more sense to focus on a qb who's had more experience in the college game, a 3-4 year starter would be nice
Kartr's own words

"It takes a qb 3 years before he is ready"
Hmmm....

Nasty is better.

So, if Henson doesn't throw a bunch of pics you're going to drink his bathwater?

I still think premature evaluation is hilarious. Even if you do have a funny turban and hold envelopes to your head Nasty.

And if Henson plays well, I'll eat my crow.

One question:

Did they just change his throwing motion over the past few days of camp?

Or did they change his motion in the offseason, which means those 5000 passes or whatever he threw in the offseason were with the new motion?

I think that's important...because if he spent the entire offseason and all those passes with the new motion and hasn't even gotten close to throwing consistantly decent passes yet, then it's either time to scrap the new motion or forget him doing anything but carrying a clipboard this season. If he couldn't get it down over the entire offseason, there's no reason to think it will just fall into place suddenly in the next week or so.

Which is it? When exactly did they tinker with his motion?

Romo is outperforming Henson to date and thats clearly undebatable.

Those that had unrealistic expectations on Henson playing last year are reeling. Now the mantra is lets watch the preseason games.

Clock is hardwired and ticking. Parcells going into camp said when he'd decide on backup. That is now 7-10 days away.... He already knows what he's doing. I'll sit back and get the popcoarn and watch this as it unfolds!

That's just silly. Why not give them all of pre season and then make a judgment?

You realize Romo has not been looking good either right? Thats why BP is inquiring other teams about a backup QB. You better hope they dont find one they like cause if a 4th QB is brought in Romo is gone, because Hensons contract is guaranteed money, Romos is not

You realize you havent been paying attention, right?

And this is why you arent running an NFL team: You dont cut guys based on money unless you have to, you cut guys on talent, and right now Henson should get cut over Romo.

Because if Henson is really what you think he is, he should be able to do fairly well against the third team scrubs of the Arizona Cardinals.

he should? why exactly? because he might have looked better in 7 or 8 practices against his own team? its a good thing YOU arnt running the team...you dont cut guys because they look better for a few practices

Henson is physically a more talented player than Romo

and we're all quite sure that if he does do well, that will be the only reason why right? Because he's playing against the other teams scrubs...

which by the way is the only time in two+ yrs Romo looked good, when he wa splaying with OUR starters vs a terrible defensive teams 2nd and 3rd teamers

All the passes have been with the changes to his throwing motion. It is predictable that he would struggle at first. I don't see this as any big setback.

You cut guys based on future talent and expectations thats correct another reason Romo will be gone. The fact is Henson is already paid this season his money is guaranteed he will not be going anywhere. If another QB comes in Romo will be gone.

So we can't base Henson off a preseason game against backups, but you can judge Romo off a week of practice against Dallas backups?

Randall Cunningham is physically a more talented player than Aikman, yet you maintain you'd take Aikman without thinking twice.

Ouch.....
