After 6 games it's looking like the defense may end up injury riddled by the end of this season like last year. We can only hope Lee stays healthy in for most of the season before he ends up nicked. Not to put the hex on it but he's due.

people saying the guy is done and who cares.

Good god we have some of the most ignorant, disrespectful non appreciative fans in the league.

Well he is done as an every down guy. I don't think you want his salary as a third down rusher. If he wants a pay cut if love to keep him. People saying (who cares) is not a shock though. It's all about the name on the jersey to some people.

Isn't Hatcher a Free Agent at the end of the season? If so, picked a hellva good time to have a career year. DTs who can manage to have 10+ sacks in a season are worth their weight in gold. If Hatchers continues playing this well the Cowboys are going to have a really tough decision to make re: whether or they can/should resign him.

or they could franchise him.

Schefter reported this summer that we were close to signing Winston lol.. I'd rather take Fisher's word right now.

He isn't done completely but it's time we draft his replacement. I'd bet he can still get double digit sacks as a pass rush specialist for few more years. Especially if he has someone else getting some of the attention.

Not that bad tbh. We almost looked better without him at times last night. But we can't afford any other injuries to our front 7 now.

We need him now it's not like we're sitting in good shape at 3-3 with our next 4 out of 5 games on the road.

Patch work DL and suspect secondary = Cowboys scrapping for help and getting lit up. I like the more man-to-man approach we had in the secondary last week but we need some help NOW.

Anyone on the block worth trading for? We REALLY need RAT back so Jerry needs to kiss up and play nice but I seriously doubt RAT will ever be in a Cowboys uni ever again.

Damn that's just great... We are going to really miss Ware. People that keep knocking him will see that we will miss him. Expect a ton of blitzes to bring pressure and that can really impact the defense in a bad way

When healthy, he's just as dominating as ever.

I don't see the patchwork secondary.

Unless I don't know how to read, Simeon Rice, Leslie O'Neil, Clyde Simmons, Michael Strahan, and Kevin Greene (3rd all time) who all have more sacks than Ware are not in. Why would he get in before any of those guys?

He could pass Rice and Simmons this year, but that still leaves the other three. How can you make a case for him over any of those other guys?

Gap Tooth will be in, probably in the next class. His first year of eligibility was last year I think. He will be in soon. Why Leslie O'Neil is not in is a mystery to me. He was a great player and he should be in but he is not. Be that as it may, he ended his career with 137.5 sacks in 14 seasons. Ware, in less then 9, already has 115. He is going to pass him in the next couple of seasons so he too will be by the boards. Greene has 160 sacks in 15 seasons, he's going to get passed too. Strahan has 141 in 15 seasons. He's going down too.

None of these guys are going to have more sacks then Ware does when he's done. I'd put money on that.

I said suspect secondary. Last week they looked better but had pressure on the QB and RGIII was off big time. It's going to take more than one good game in order to wipe the memories of being torched for the first 5 games.

Considering the injuries, its hard for me to see Ware getting more than Strahan.

Let's see what Wilber can do.

Ware isn't going to be much more than a situational pass rusher soon anyway.

Too bad.

Always wanted to see him challenge the all time sack record.

What's funny to me is that people act as if he's done. He's not a running back, and his issues are purely based on rest. The guy needs to take the rest of the year off, and this will give him nearly a year of rest. And I guarantee you, he will be back the same or better next season. The guy has never taken time off, his body needs to truly rest and heal. But people are looking to get rid of a perennial pass rusher, a Dallas great, just like that. He's not like Ratliff who's just picking up a paycheck, he gives everything, and has given everything to this team and this fan base for years, yet we disrespect the guy.

I'll say it again, this fan base doesn't deserve a Super Bowl.

What injuries? You think he is any more injured then any of these other guys? They all had injuries. Ware is going to play another good 3 years and maybe more. I don't see any of his current injuries retiring him. Heck, Kevin Greene played his last like 5 seasons as a situational pass rusher. I think Ware has a lot of time left in front of him.
