Thanks. I too am on the Garrett team, and was wondering why you felt the same way I did. Didn't understand the "hostility" when I asked. :)

Embrace the hatred.:)

My shorts are too tight. Cuts off circulation to the fellas. Makes me cranky.

#3 in total offense last year, and #9 this year, despite missing Romo for four weeks.

This in his first two years as OC.

garrett is HC material but he is still learning to be a OC.he needs another 3 or 4 years before he can considered for the job.

Again, i like Garrett and think he will be the next HC but I seriously doubt any of us know enough about what goes on at Valley Ranch to know if he is ready or not.

We're just guessing and hoping for the best.

Man, his fall from grace has been hard and sudden. Wade has more supporters than him: by FAR. Didn't think I'd see that any time soon...

I wouldn't mind seeing him as HC still. A head coach is only has good as his assistants. Ask Jimmy Johnson about that. He had all his boys when he was here in Dallas, when he went to Miami he only had a couple of guys. He even said it was not the same.

If Garret becomes coach, he needs to surround himself with good coaches plain and simple. Or should I say, Jimmy should surround him with good coaches.

I was way early on the Red Jesus bashing, not so much because he was terrible, but because he was overhyped before he deserved it.

But I don't think he's a bad coach. I think that once we get better weather, our O will show itself again. And I expect that to happen this week at home, because the weather should be perfect.

As for head coach... I don't want to think about it. I'm still hoping we go on a run here and our coaching staff stays the same next year. And that could very well happen.
I think we're clones.

How is he HC material when he hasnt even gotten down the OC part? Most head coaches start out as coordinators. A big part of being the HC is how you mentor your players and it's obvious he's doing a sorry job of it with Romo.

I don't and I never did unless he proved himself. He definitely hasn't proven himself.

Garrett is still green when it comes to coaching, he'll get a better understanding of what it takes to be a great coach hopefully soon enough but I don't want to see him as the head coach of the Cowboys. I'm a Mike Singletary fan myself.

Man what staggering stats in your SIG, hopefully those will get turned around quickly!

thanks for the opinions. I would love it if we snuck in the playoffs and finally made a run, especially because the pressure would be off. Yeah, I'm on record as saying Wade isn't the answer but I'd LOVE to come on here in Jan. and admit I was wrong. If we were healthy, we'd be 10-3 BTW. (no losses to the Rams or Arizona) But you have to play the cards you were dealt: no pun intended.

Yes!!! I'd love to have JG as HC. This team would be alot more focused and disciplined with him in total control. He came up with JJ as his HC and he knows how a club should be coached. With WP as the HC, it's extremely difficult for a OC or any coach on the staff to truely assert his will and power without stepping on the HC's toes. All the crap and playing around at practice would cease with JG as HC. This team would look alot better. Being HC and OC are truely two different things, JG at this point can't really apply his way on the team without crossing WP... Again, YES, I hope JG becomes our HC....

I like Jason Garrett.

I did when he was hired and I like him now. I think he is good for this team.

I think all of these guys who are the whipping boys of the day..garrett/romo/barber/newman/ellis and wade phillips are going to get there due at some point by way of big wins.

They just need to get this monkey off their back, which they are perfectly capable of doing And sometimes when things look the bleakest is when that monkey gets its butt kicking. It feels to me they were are progressing to that point.

I think there are a couple of things holding this whole thing back from being a more focused group and I am hoping they are removed soon, but I dont think they will be so I am hoping those things cant hold them back.
