Anyone still wish we'd taken Moss instead of Ellis?

and Ellis doesnt need to be compared to Pittman either

Pittman was a waste of a roster spot and a horrible draft pick (we should have taken Brackens)...Ellis has been and still is a very good player

amen brother ^5...we're in total agreement on that...I was po'ed when we passed on Brackens and moved down...though some will point out his injuries, that doesn't change the fact that we should have made him a Cowboy

I agree about your feeling towards Moss but Irvin even though he did not fail a drug test according to him there was still this issue of being at a hotel with Roberts and a couple ****** with cocaine in their possession.

I would just LOVE to see one of these idiots live in the real world for just one week....

Now that is something I can agree with ... these guys act like spoiled little brats ... TO and Moss ... I could care less what they do in their personal lives ... and anyone worried about it really needs to look at their own ... chances are if you're that worried about someone else's actions ... you could check your own as well ...

But the way TO is acting about playing freakin' NFL football is a disgrace to the sport and disrespectful to the fans ...

Randy strikes me as the same kind of guy ... thinks eveyone owes him something ...

Sheesh ... if I were Patrick Crayton, I'd **** and just play ball ...

These media ****** in the NFL really tick me off thinking we should feel sorry for them ...

I'll also say that anyone who thinks "weed" isn't smoked by maybe half the young players in the NFL at some point in time is very naive.

Very naive ... same with basketball and a lot of baseball ...

IT'S JUST A LITTLE POT!!!

Tell your children that using pot is bad ... and just because you used it, doesn't make you a hypocrite for teaching them the right thing ....

moss's prior problems is why he was drafted so low and why we didn't jump on him, but what's he done in the NFL that would warrant a suspension?

didnt he run over a cop? didnt he just admit using drugs?

It's not like he's drinking alcohol which is 10 times worse for you ...

excessive alcohol is worse, but havent they established that one or two drinks a day is actually good for you?

I've got alot of friends that unfortunately went down the wrong road, and they have obviously been impacted by drugs (incl pot) much more than friends my age that have drank some...now 20-30 yrs from now if they drink excessively they'll possibly need a new liver, but if the people smoking the weed continue its unlikely they'll have a majority of their brain cells

that was a bad trade down, compounded by the fact that the guy we drafted with the extra pick was probably the worst center in franchise history (Clay Shiver)...we passed on Brackens (who was rated a top-15 pick almost across the board)...

the onlt saving grace is at least the Commanders drafted a player worse than either Pittman or Shiver (as hard as that is to believe) in Penn St OL Andre Johnson (wasnt that his name?)

I try to steer clear of both personally, but if I had to do one for the duration of my life it would be pot ...

That said, I'm sober these days ...

Not a slip ... I was just saying if I was anyone that had been given a chance to play in the NFL that I'd just shut up and play ...

I used Crayton as an example because he's not of star status ...

It's not like these guys have a hard job ...

hell freakin no. It's still one of the biggest mistakes our team has made, and him admitted to smoking weed ( welcome to the obvious) doesnt have anything to do with his on the field skills.

I have always said that Moss and Irvin would have been a bad mix. I'm still glad Jerry passed on him.

Agreed, we have to remember Moss was motivated by being passed over by so many teams (Including some who passed him twice as well as Tennessee who drafted a receiver while he was still on the board) but he also had a mentor in Chris Carter, who prepared him for life in the NFL and put him through a rigirious workout. And no offense to the Twin Cities, but it's not the party spotlight Dallas is.

Assume Moss got his wish and was taken by Dallas, run by Gailey but everyone knows you can go over his head, teammates running rampart, being in not only a party town such as Dallas, but having the hottest spotlight on you in the league and no mentor to ease you in. If he thought he was bullet-proof in Minnesota imagine his attitude here! I predicted it would have been nightmarish headlines for us and he wouldn't have put up anywhere near the numbers he did in Minnesota, not only that but once Irvin goes down he's the offense and would have been double,tripe-teamed constantly.

Just my .02

for those that wish we'd have drafted this thug loser, whats he helped Minnesota win? what playoff games did he ever dominate? The guy is an embarrassment to the league with his me first attitude, all the off field probs and now admitting (wow, what a surprise) that he's a pot head

wonder if he's gonna get a 5 game suspension like Irvin did in 1996? I'm sure we'll see the league spin doctors say something stupid like "well, but Moss has never failed a drug test" and the media idiots will buy that, but Irvin never had a positive drug test either

Moss= LOSER

Irvin was arrested though wasnt he? And to get at your labeling him a pot head, that's just ludicrious. He says he smokes occationally, and it's in the offseason. And you know what, I frankly don't see it as a problem at all, because think of it this way. If he can smoke pot and come out and dominate on Sunday the way he does, heshould be rewarding, he's putting himself at a disadvantage.

Pot in moderation is like anything else, it's not going to do too much harm to you at all.

May be the case, but when you can't get a job because you failed a drug test, you can tell your hungry kids that it's no biggie...because after all, in moderation it's all good.

It isn't about the health effects...it's about life. And it's about getting a job. Who gives a rats *** if Moss or Irvin or what other pro athlete tokes up...They made their money...In real life...It's illegal and your employer doesn't care if you only do it in moderation. If you get caught...as Donald Trump says...YOU'RE FIRED!!!!

It's not a good life lesson...Period.

marvin harrison is the best receiver in the nfl.

randy moss does not belong in the same breath as a michael irvin. mike did all the intangibles.. blocking, route running, going over the middle, leader on the field, sidelines, locker room, etc. had hands of gold. would make hall of fame corners such as deion and green look helpless.

randy moss is nothing but sandlot. go deep randy......... i'll hit ya.
moss does nothing more than catch the ball.............. there is more to it than that.
