yes, the team will do better

BUT

all fans on CZ have to have "believe" and "hope" in their sig line

otherwise it wont work

i blame the fans (esp those on CZ) that dont "believe"

Could easily win the division next season with a few adjustments, a good draft and better luck on injuries. Replacing Kiffin tops the list. Garrett and Jerry are not going anywhere so it's not worth analyzing those positions.

I don't, I don't see how they can, no money, Tony 35 coming off major back surgery, Ware is done, lee can't stay on the field. See them being much worse next year

There is always opportunity to be better. A great draft (at least three immediate starters) combined with good health and sound coaching makes this a 12-4 team. Don't ask me, though, if I believe it will happen. :D

No - and someone will post this same thread at this time in 2014.

Honestly, yes, they can be. Parity in the NFL is a beast; look at the coaches getting canned today and how many made the playoffs last year. Did anyone expect HOU, WAS and ATL to own three of the top six picks? Don't think so.

Look at how the Chiefs suddenly improved with a coaching change, a QB who plays within himself and a defense that is young and scary. Look at how much GB is affected simply by not having a guy named Rodgers in the huddle. Ask Baltimore how hard it is to get back to the promised land when you lose some veterans.

Anything can happen in this game; whether it happens to us or not is questionable, but the possibility is always there.

I think the team--especially the offense--was better this year than last.
I feel certain the defense can't be worse than this year.
So I think the team will be better next year, but I really have no idea how much so.

They can get 2 top free agents or 3 to 4 mid-tier free agents if they cut Ware.

I'm sort of torn.

1. Get romo back, some other guys back...
2. Give Garrett , give romo and company one more shot.........

Or

1. new coaching staff. Hire a big name, pay him gobs, and give him FULL control ....rebuild according to his decisions......which may include keeping romo???

I'm leaning towards the latter......Something needs to change. And it has to be setting in on Jerry. Yes, he is stubborn.....egotistical. But i still believe jerry wants to win more then anything, i just think he wants to prove, to himself, it's because of him.....maybe, he has a coming to Jesus meeting, with himself. And ........does something drastic ,,like hire a GM.

It's time........right.? It's time.

I think Ware is hurt. He will improve. Lee will get injured, again. Romo may lose some effectiveness. But the real answer is.... I don't know because the team has JJ making decisions that are more harmful than good, generally speaking.

One of those terrible decisions was making Garret the coach.

We went 8-8 the last three years. Now we're doubling down on what got us those 8-8's. So I'll go out on the limb and predict, 8-8 in '14.

The core players, Romo, Witten, Ware, will be another year older. Their window is closing. No idea how much longer they have, but it isn't much longer.

Jerry has slammed the window shut when he decided to keep his "pet".

Give me a break. It's stunning how fast Cowboys fans seem to want to cast aside a franchise QB. I guess some fans just loved the 5+ years we spent searching for one.

I love Romo but he never really had a chance under Wade and Jerry's "pet" project. Romo would have been much better off if they had traded him to NO when Sean Payton tried to get him before he became a starter. He would of had at least one SB ring. Romo will end up going down as the best Cowboy QB to never win a SB since Jerry likes his "pet" project more than winning.

If the defense is just average we win 11 or 12 games easily. Don't know if we'll see an average defense though.

this just pushes us back a year, i guess more people need to get some kind of a brain cell that yes, contrary to their beliefs, yes Garrett is that bad, there, over with, move on, Now the next coach is going to have to wait a year, blow the team up and start installing yet again. and the sad part is, as i stated before, JJ figured out, he doesnt need Cowboy fans, he just needs any nfl fan. If he can fill that stadium with the opposing team fans, he ll do it.

Garrett isn't the head coach he's just another assistant on the staff. Jerry Jones is the head coach of he Dallas Cowboys.
