As if Sunday evenings aren't depressing enough already.

When it's done, it's done.
Coming here and complaining won't help for years to come.

Has this type of information been leaked for any other QB about to be signed? Total guess here, but I have to believe this is the Cowboys sending Dak a team friendly offer, but at $55M so Jerry can say "I offered him the most money in football and he turned it down"

Something just doesnt smell right with this info coming out, and it may be Jerry trying to get Dak to cave through public pressure.

Caving was the plan. There was never 1 ounce of thought that the cowboys would walk away. They were always going to pay Dak to make him the highest paid QB.

I will stick to my original idea until proven otherwise. Dak signs a short deal again. I say a 2 year deal thru 2026. Thats favorable for both sides when you think about it. Then we can draft Arch Manning....OR Dak again if he gets the team over the playoff hump.

I dont see where paying dak 55 instead of 60 means that much.
The only way it matters is if they get a cheaper qb, like 30 mil a year or less.

What’s a Tua deal?
did you see what he just signed for last week? It was huge. Dallas nor Dak will not go that route. Both sides will want a short term commitment. Only way I see Dak signing a long deal is if we plan on signing Ceedee and Micah now as well. Signing Dak is key in doing so. It frees up cap.

Tua got a 4 year deal. Dak isn’t signing for less than 4 years.

Jerry’s good about backing the players into a corner. It’s really more the CBA taking advantage of the rookies. If it’s not highest paid WR, Lamb can’t do anything. He can hold out for a little more but he’s going to have to play or lose a yr and still be under contract. Then he can get tagged 2 more times. All he can do is show up to all the practices, games, and dog it. Or request a trade.

There’s no reason Jerry needs to get a contract done. Jerry is looking at $17m this year, then the $22m tag. So I guarantee Jerry is thinking avg that out to $20m a year. Lambs no doubt wanting $35m a year.

What matters is that the Cowboys will be stuck with him for at least three or four years.
More of the same.

Caved? How is this caving? tua just got that kind of money, and Dak is better than Tua.
I don't think so.
I think re-signing Dak dooms the Cowboys for at least three or four more years of only beating low caliber teams.
