Are we a better team with Dak or Rush?

Romo was nothing more then a gun slinger, again as I said he was fun to watch but he was never going to win us anything. There was a reason all 32 teams passed on him in the draft.

As far as the 2016 draft, no surprise there. It was one of the worst draft class as far as QB's in years. Dak is really the only one that played to his position which was a 4th round pick. That is all that Dak is, trying to build him up to anything more is just foolish. Here we are in 2022 and what has he won us? Nothing and he has had some good players around him and all we hear him say is, I gotta get better, I gotta quit making mistakes etc. There is no getting better, he is what he is. He has reached his peak. This year has to be his best shot, if he doesn't do anything in the playoffs with the players he has around him this year JJ should label him a bust and eat his contract and move on. Everyone around him is aging out and wasting their careers.

So you think QBs alone take teams to playoff success. Got it.

This ain’t tennis or golf.

No a QB is not going to take you to the Superbowl by himself, but you're also not going to get there without a great QB either. That is why the Cowboys have not been there in over a quarter of a century because they as a team has not invested in the QB position. Undrafted QB's like Romo and 4th round hopefuls are not going to get us there. If you haven't figure that out after 27 years then I can't help you.....

Absolutely not. I’m not a GM, but I do know that Dak is a massive minus next year when he’s using up 50 million of our Cap…I’m not sure why you don’t really understand that… Oh well
Yeah man. I get it. That’s the market value of a starting QB. Even decent starting QBs get a lot of money and replacing them with another decent one is not easy imo. So when someone says something like we could use that money to make our team better I’d genuinely like to know the plan.

I don’t think it’s a well thought out opinion and it’s shared by many who’ve I’ve also asked. I’m genuinely willing to listen with an open mind to a good plan and that’s why I ask, but I never really get an answer.

Surely all of this rubbish we heard earlier in the season has subsided?

Our offense has been in top 5 since Prescott’s return. We were close to bottom 5 while with Rush.

The winning percentage is similar but I can’t imagine anyone still thinking this team has more potential heading into the playoffs with Rush over Prescott.

Show me one HOFer, current or former player, coach, GM, or scout that said Rush is better for this offense at ANYTIME than Dak is.... if they haven't, there must be a good reason.

Nobody in their right mind would say that Rush, a quarterback who has been in the NFL a year less than Dak, gets released and picked back up on practice squads annually, would be better for this team than Dak, a top ten quarterback in this league....

So it's really not a question in your mind even though you ask it.

Yep.. apparently there are too many fans in this forum who aren’t in their right minds. Assuming they are Cowboy fans.

Well, I was attempting to measure the current pulse of this forum. Sounds like you’re responding to the title not the entire post.
So my statement about you not really asking the question in the title doesn't inform you that I am responding to the entire post?

NOT A BETTER TEAM BUT RUSH IS CLEARLY THE BETTER PASSER OF THE TWO, his passes are more of what a NORMAL POCKET PASSER should be, much better delivery and anticipation! Also isn't scared to go down the field on a big pass

Why even start this dumb thread when you yourself know the thread is dumb? Strange

Gregg doesn't have Garrett to brag about anymore so he's trying to be a troll warrior. smh, whatever gets him some attention.

The major difference between the two quarterbacks is that Rush can't make all of the throws. As far as reading the defense, I didn't see much of a difference. But that's a big advantage Dak has.

All I know is Dak is the quarterback. I don't have an alternate reality crystal ball. So, there's no way to know what our record would be if Cooper Rush was the quarterback.
It's really not anything I'm going to trouble my mind over.
