These polls are a perfect example of how fans live in the moment. After the loss to the 49ers over 90% of the fans weren’t happy with Dak and now just over 55% aren’t happy with him. It will be well under 50% aren’t happy with him if we beat Philly next Sunday but if we lose and Dak doesn’t play well, it will be well over 80% that aren’t happy with him. It could be back up to over 90% if he plays really poorly.

Regarding fans changing their votes from week to week ...

For many fans the votes they make on polls reflect their current emotions so it is unfair to label someone who changes their mind (in either direction) a bandwagon fan.

There are always some fans who hold out hope longer or give up faster than others over players, coaches, etc.

When a fan changes their mind it may be temporary or permanent, but part of being a fan is having the choice to decide what you like and don't like at any given time.

I think these polls are interesting because they provide a snapshot of the fan base's opinion on various topics, especially specific players and coaches.

It is less about being right or wrong or defining who are better fans and more about gaining an understanding of how Cowboys fans are feeling at various points throughout the season.
I'm not going to say calling people 'bandwagon' fans is unfair when what we are seeing with this poll each week is the very definition of that happening right in front of your face. What you call 'emotional' voting I call people being Jekyll and Hyde. One week they love him, the very next they won't.

If Dak craps the bed next week, which I expect he will, the bandwagon will have a few less people on it. I'm willing to put money on that too.

No, I read the entire post, but I responded to the first sentence because that was the comment I was addressing in my response.
So you felt the need to explain to me what can be considered a good game by a QB. That they can play well and still lose. While ignoring that I said he didn't have to win in an NFC Championship, just don't be the reason for losing it.

By the way, 200 yards would be a pedestrian game by a bus driver-type QB who likely had a great running game and/or a stout defense that dominated the day.

Trent Dilfer had a lot of games like that with the
2000 Ravens. He was so bad, the HC nearly benched him in the SB. But hey, they won, so, great game Trent... lol

What I’ve seen from the polls is there’s a couple dozen people who will always vote yes, a couple dozen people who will always vote no, and then like 400 people who’ll come to the forum after an ugly loss to vent their frustrations… but otherwise don’t normally participate in these week-to-week polls.
Yet Iggle fans like you absolutely love Dak because you know what he is - a below average QB who will never be a true threat for a championship. If you had your way he would be the Dallas QB for the next 30 years.

I stand strong in my belief in Dak that he greatly improves the team when he runs the ball.
And he does his best work when people do their jobs like they did yesterday when Ferguson makes a difficult catch instead of dropping the ball over and over when CD lamb takes charge and catches the ball instead of hanging his head on the sideline.
Dak needs to continue to use his legs to help us win games and the rest of the team needs to do its job when all three facets of the game are making plays and contributing Dak looks like a superstar.

Conversely when people don't do their jobs and Dak is forced to put the whole team on his back and elevate it because of everyone else's mistakes this is where he struggles understandably.

Voting No every week until the end of time. He isnt good enough to get us where we want to go. Beating bad teams shouldnt change anybody's mind
Teams change from week to week I guess San Francisco could be considered a bad team now.
All the teams play in the NFL and are capable of beating you on any given Sunday

I never questioned your opinion about Dak as I do not care if you or anyone loves or hates him.

What I commented on specifically was you attacking other fans who change their minds. Fans have the right to change their mind as often as they like.

As I keep saying, these polls are not about right or wrong votes or defining who are the better fans.

They are simply a way of seeing how the fan base is feeling about the most important position on the team throughout the season as the team wins and loses games.

Spoken like someone with a non-football agenda.
TOTAL BS.
The vast majority would LOVE to see that.
There is no agenda....from me. Look at the forum. Even in his good games there's always the same side of the Dak narrative just looking for anything they can throw at the wall to discount or justify why he "still sucks". If you can't see that then you're not being objective.

And yes, the other side does it too but it's mostly the anti dak crowd.

Going forward, here is the definition of two terms:

Bandwagon - fans flock to whatever team is winning
fair-weather - fans lose interest when their team is losing, jump back in when winning

I don’t think anyone here is a bandwagon fan
You forgot:

secret agents - fans from other teams posing as Cowboys fans here to cause trouble, even though the accusation crumbles after the accused stays months or even years. Fake people hang around for a few hours or a week or two at most mischievously stir the pot.

Staying months or years? That would be pathological.

Attacking other fans? What? Wow!
I didn't attack anyone. Good grief.

I see posts that essentially say "It's been 8 years.. regular season wins don't do it for them anymore". And they're right. That is 90+% of the "No" voters opinions.

You are using the "two drunks in a bar" theory.
Most "No" votes are, in fact, being objective.

In the 90s, Dallas went from being 1-15 to being
back-to-back SB Champs in 5 years. That is the standard.

I've seen this movie before,he most times has very good games against mediocre to bad teams but craps the bed against good to very good teams, most recently against the 9ers.. untill he can consistently play well and win some of those,my opinion will not change, so no remains my answer.
