I've seen this movie before,he most times has very good games against mediocre to bad teams but craps the bed against good to very good teams, most recently against the 9ers.. untill he can consistently play well and win some of those,my opinion will not change, so no remains my answer.
Are the 49ers even a good team anymore haven't really looked like it lately

It's really funny when the defense and special teams make some plays and put some points on the board all of a sudden Dak is a pretty good player.

Hard to explain why people feel a fourth round draft pick that we didn't even really want is supposed to elevate the whole team when other parts don't do their job.

It's amazing all week long you watch receivers on other teams make contested one-handed catches and all of a sudden we have somebody that does that instead of dropping balls that are right to him and we win the game.

Dak is very capable of winning games with some help from his friends as should always be the case but he struggles when asked to put the s on his chest and make up for everyone shortcomings

This last line ... is so not happening ... especially this year ... FOR ANY QB.

I mean, MAYBE Tua, as he seems to be the only QB that hasn't had an absolute Trash Game so far this year. He's had 1 or 2 so-so games, but no trash games, and he has arguably the faster skill player group in the NFL right now to help him out.

The whole "a QB to carry a team" rhetoric is one of the most moronic mantras in NFL history.

There isn't a QB in NFL history, present or future that's carried a team by himself.
- If the line does not block. Good luck.
- If the running backs can't run and/or pick up the blitz. Good luck.
- If the receivers don't run the right routes and/or catch the ball, good luck.
- If the coach does not run an offense that makes it hard to be defended, good luck.

If a QB could carry a team to championships by himself, Marino, Kelly, Fouts, ect... would have more rings than Dilfer.

If you are waiting for a QB to "carry the Cowboys" to Rings, then you will be waiting forever.

But JMHO

These weekly polls are very interesting. Seems voters are treating them more like a week-to-week approval rating, rather than a definitive statement as to whether Dak should (or should not) be the Cowboys QB.

That's a great post right there seems like some people expect Dak to somehow make up for a lack of blocking receivers dropping the ball bad play calling.

Granted there's some quarterbacks that make some absolutely unbelievable plays at times but expecting a guy to elevate the team all the time it's just asking too much

I voted no after the 49ers game. But the bottom line is, as a fan, I want the team to win. And I will root for the success of whomever is taking snaps under center.

I honestly thought Dak was absolutely done after the 49ers game. But I will give credit to him and the team the last two games.

Some of you might consider that to be a bandwagon…you are obviously entitled to your opinion. I would counter that those people who are absolutely anti Dak, Dak haters, etc…will never acknowledge if he plays well, hoping he fails so you can say “I told you so“, hoping the team loses because Dak didn’t play well, etc...are not fans of the the team at all.

I was pretty mad at him three weeks ago. But he’s been playing very very well since. I’m not saying he’s on Mahomes level, but he’s certainly one of the better QBs in the league and this team is in a good position.

I still think Dallas needs to look at moving from Dak. We've seen him do this before having a couple big wins making people think he's fine. Just pop in the tape of that 49ers game and he just can't adjust to the speed of a better defense.

Admin...the poll maker...said that was the intent.

Week to week tracking.

Regarding fans changing their votes from week to week ...

For many fans the votes they make on polls reflect their current emotions so it is unfair to label someone who changes their mind (in either direction) a bandwagon fan.

There are always some fans who hold out hope longer or give up faster than others over players, coaches, etc.

When a fan changes their mind it may be temporary or permanent, but part of being a fan is having the choice to decide what you like and don't like at any given time.

I think these polls are interesting because they provide a snapshot of the fan base's opinion on various topics, especially specific players and coaches.

It is less about being right or wrong or defining who are better fans and more about gaining an understanding of how Cowboys fans are feeling at various points throughout the season.
Can everyone please read this post #2.

If your are complaining about "prisoner of the moment"....or fickle fans... the op is encouraging it.
I used ti complain about no 3rd option (undecided) like so many official polls have. But op just getting week to week feeling.

Game grades change week to week you aint mad about that.

Yet Iggle fans like you absolutely love Dak because you know what he is - a below average QB who will never be a true threat for a championship. If you had your way he would be the Dallas QB for the next 30 years.
I voted yes for Dak because it’s unrealistic to move off from him at this juncture. But yes, his Dallas tenure has also been good for Philadelphia… I’ve noticed

I'll hold my vote until after the Eagles game.
I voted , but the time to have a change of heart will be based on the playoffs.

Not a thing has changed in 8 season……..but it could.

I believe a more appropriate poll, at this point, would be to have a poll asking “ Were you happy with Daks performance this week”?

For most of us , it’s not that he’s been a bad regular season quarterback more than it’s his inability to play well against great defenses especially in the playoffs.

We saw Dak play at an elite level at times last year. We saw him play great against TB and then he was awful against SF. He's an up and down QB. He's slightly above average. He has to show up in the playoffs. That's the true test.

Play elite against...literally....losers 8-9 tampa....us daks forte. Losing 3 times in a row to better 9ers....is as well. So far.

They....coaches....have to grab the confidence and adeptness he shows in games like this one....and show it when the chips are down and under big fire.
