the point isnt that you lost hte game, but that maybe next time, the team will actually capitalize on those mistakes.

You can keep blaming a helpless safety for the loss, because hell, its convienient right? But I seriously doubt that he will develop enough in one season to not cause a liability.

You all have a good team, but I would call them "so freaking good". O-line is still suspect, FS is a mess, and most importantly, the QB is gawd awful.

But keep hoping, because hell, isnt that what football is about.

I also doubt our rookie safety will continue to surrender 21 points per game.

I don't understand what's "convenient" about facts. But, whatever. Go cheer for your team of overpaid, underachieving, disfunctional "superstars". This Cowboys team is really, really good. I wouldn't expect you to know anything about that.

the 1987 they only played 1 less game. was that when they had replacement players? and which one did they win with the black dude who played qb for them?

It was the 1987 season they played games 4-6 with replacement players and the QB was Doug Williams.

They played 15 games (3) of those 15 games were by replacement players. So the ACTUAL Commanders only played (12) games.

Archuletta is a free agent bust and Sean Taylor is chasing behind someone in the end zone every week!?!?!?

If Bledsoe is "gawd awful", what is Brunell?

Taylor's complete failure as a player this year has been funny to watch, though.

They always win a game or two that you wouldn't think they could (see Jax game) but realistically....its looking like something between a 5-11, 6-10, 7-9 type season.
You have to feel sorry for ole danny boy....

They could bring in 22 probowlers and go 0-16 and danny boy probably still would think he knows how to run a franchise.
Hopefully, the only thing we see of them this year is in the rear-view mirror as they plummet and implode.

Better to deal with it now than to keep getting mad about it every week. The Commanders are making another splash this season, signing Archuleta to the largest NFL contract ever for a safety. It's worth $30 million over six years with $10 million guaranteed.

On Taylor's contract

The contract also has escalators that can make the deal worth up to $40 million over six years, while the seventh year can be voided. The escalators are based on playing time, performance and Pro Bowl or All-Pro selections.

It's too bad you weren't here til August, because within the litany of Williams/Taylor threads that litter the board, we got plenty of "Taylor covered Randy Moss 1 on 1". He's a free safety. They have to cover WRs - alot. Unfortunately, he's not a very good one. He'd probably be better served as a SS.

Here's what I know - Roy is having an amazing year - Taylor is arguably playing worse than our fifth round rookie safety. And that's all right by me, since Williams' system relies so heavily on good safety play.
