-shawn springs out all year so far
-CP not 100% till week 4 or so
- Both DT's being off and on injured(having to start two rookies last week)
-Pierson Preilou out for the year

i mean, it definatly isnt as much as the Eagles of 05 faced, but the injuries to Pierson and Springs in our secondary really hurt us. I still think that if they were both 100%, our defense would be back to the way it looked the last two years

I see your Point sng4l...Eagle fans everywhere can absolutely 100% empathize with that hardship your team is facing. Hopefully Vincent will add some consistency to your secondary. But look out when those injured players get healthy again!

Depends.

If Dallas goes 9-7 and misses the playoffs due to Bledsoe's ineptness, I'll take that over the Skins if they go say 4-12 or 6-10. And oh yeah, Dallas would still likely end up with a better first round pick.

I'd still be concerned about Romo taking over and all in 2007, but at least I would have some comfort in the fact that the rest of the team, by and large, is pretty good.

YAKUZA

wait, but when the skins go to the playoffs last year is it thought of as nothing?

you must NOT be a member of Extreme Skins..... go over there and take a look!:laugh2:

LOL! That board is wayyyy too big to take 10% of the population seriously. Some of them say some outrageous stuff that from just the thread title, I just refuse to click the link and take part in. I barely post there now because of the rollar coaster ride of emotions. A small portion of members gets the vast majority upset with their "we're the best team in the NFL" to "we absolutely suck!!!" threads that change during the course of a single game. I stick to the Tailgate and talk Wizards nowadays.

ummmm....have you already forgotten the past 7-8 years? We've made plenty of stupid moves which is what got us into the position we've been in.

If you are reffering to the Campo years, please don't. I'm still trying to get over PCSS.

PCSS = Post Campo Stress Syndrome :laugh1:

The most ignorant statement every written on this board. Funny how only cowboys fans actually care that two of those superbowls were in strike seasons. Tell me who played in the playoffs and superbowls, were it replacement players? Any more ways you want to make yourself sound foolish?

You sound like an angry Commander fan who is in denial.

Thanks for playing! :loser:

Taylor hasn't given up 3 TDs in a game at any point in his career. Also, Williams' system isn't reliant upon good safety play, but good corner play. GW has said this numerous times in the past. He's also explained that the injuries and poor play among the cornerbacks is why he's been reluctant to blitz as often as he used to.

Did I say it was reliant on? Or relied heavily on? Because there's a huge difference. Springs is the lynch-pin, but Williams system (any system that is blitz-heavy) relies strongly on it's safeties playing well. This year, Taylor has been an absolute failure. He may not have given three TDs up in a game, but he's spreading them out to hurt the team more, in addition to some fantastically timed penalties. Aside from the Philly game, the rook has been solid.

Trash Harris if you want. He's been better than any DB on the Skins this year.

True, nobody can realistically write you guys off right now. If the OL starts playing lights out, then Bledsoe could be dangerous with the weapons you have. As of now, I think Eagles are looking like the team to beat though.

The eagles are NOT as ELITE as everyone thinks....... and I'm not saying that because I don't like them....

Oh hell yeah. I could use a donation to my children's Christmas, because I guarantee you I can find more than one post by Skins fans about going to the Super Bowl this year.

I can find them as far back as the signings of Archuleta, Lloyd, and Randle El and by more than one poster.

I see you've already tried to excuse their existence, but that's backtracking like I said you'd do. Not shocked. I expected you to try and spin control out of that rash statement.

This is a playoff team. We will make the playoffs. You can bank it.

I admire your confidence ...however, every fandom probably feels that way about their respective team.

Sorry, you don't get to use injuries as an excuse...

The reason the Skins are in trouble right now is because they don't have adequate depth to replace those few players they're missing... and the reason they don't have adequate depth is the money they keep throwing at marginal free agent talent... the salary cap is a finite thing, when you spend x number of dollars on an Andre Carter, that leaves you with y number of dollars less that you can spend on quality depth...

We have been telling you Skins fans since preseason that your team was constructed so as to self-destruct if the injuries started to pile up... really, that's no different from last year, only you guys managed to stay amazingly healthy until very late in the season last year...

If you stay healthy, your lack of depth isn't such a big problem, but if the injuries start to mount up, you will most assuredly see it reflected in your play on the field... this is the (poor) gamble that Gibbs and Snyder decided to take...

Whatever, man. From the start I stated it specifically for this thread and said so. I don't think anyone else has in the forum, prove it if you want to. You're being petty, and childish with this weak "backtracking" and "spin control" BS.

I also expected that type of post from you, the difference between you and I is I don't feel the need to toot my horn about it on a message board. You want to prove me wrong, just do it, money is unneccessary. And for your information, regardless of the outcome mine is still bigger. :p:

EDIT: MUCH, MUCH, MUCH bigger.

but when you all are sitting in the same place as us in January, then whats the story going to be for you?

You all arn't going anywhere fast. Although that win over the texans looked good(hell, it even let mark brunell look good), you all are in trouble with bledsoe at the helm. He single handedly threw the game away against Philly. And this is the guy you all are holding hope for for the rest of the season?

Chuckle... naw, I think we'll rely on playing "Parcells football"...

We'll do that with the Cowboys' tied-for-third ranked rushing offense and our league-leading rushing defense controlling the time of possession, and with our league-leading punter helping us control the field position game...

Yeah, I'll definitely take my team's prospects for the rest of this season as opposed to your team's prospects... basically, if y'all lose in Indy this Sunday, you have next to zero chance of making the playoffs this year (you'd need to go at least 7-2 over those last 9 games to finish 9-7, which wouldn't even guarantee you a playoff spot, and all 9 teams you'll face are likely to finish at or above .500)...

This Sunday would be a great start toward that endeavor. Cowboys are now 1-1 in the Division going up against Manning, Eli and Barber (Tiki). I Plan to watch the game closely. I don't think either team will walk away with a clean victory ...the G-men will undoubtedly bring the dogs.

If Plaxico, Amani Toomer, and Jeremy Shockey get into a rythmn ...it could be a long evening in your home stadium. I believe you have a real opportunity to take another step toward those playoffs you were talking about earlier.

Time will tell.
