On the entire forum? Or just this thread?

I always count them out. They have (3) Superbowls yet only one of them was actually earned. Not only do I count them out I double down everytime it's time for them to actually do something big.

The most ignorant statement every written on this board. Funny how only cowboys fans actually care that two of those superbowls were in strike seasons. Tell me who played in the playoffs and superbowls, were it replacement players? Any more ways you want to make yourself sound foolish?

He's only been here since July. He can't mean the entire forum. :D

Because as anyone on here who was less than impressed with lloyd and Carter knows, there was plenty of ridiculous optimism from fans of the team with the greatest coaching staff of all time.

I dunno.

He could try joining extremeskins, and after a few months on there when someone says Roy sux in coverage, he could make some ridiculous statement like "The most ignorant statement every written on this board."

That would make him look pretty foolish.

Actually, I've heard many fans refer to those 2 Championships that way. I personally don't agree, but it isn't just Cowboys fans by a wide margin.

Yeah, I figure he'll duck and run from the question while back tracking and mumbling that he didn't mean the entire forum.

Here's what I know - Roy is having an amazing year - Taylor is arguably playing worse than our fifth round rookie safety. And that's all right by me, since Williams' system relies so heavily on good safety play.

Taylor hasn't given up 3 TDs in a game at any point in his career. Also, Williams' system isn't reliant upon good safety play, but good corner play. GW has said this numerous times in the past. He's also explained that the injuries and poor play among the cornerbacks is why he's been reluctant to blitz as often as he used to.

Walt Harris getting 3 int's in a game? That's gotta sting.:D

Harris has also been beaten like a rented mule at times this season. He's still the same old mediocre cornerback.

I meant this thread. But since I haven't seen anyone say the Skins were superbowl bound in this forum either, take it as you will.

So, how much would you be willing to bet on your claim no Skins fan came here and predicted a Super Bowl win this year?

Please make it worth my while to do the research and I will give you great odds in return.

The ball is in your court.

-shawn springs out all year so far
-CP not 100% till week 4 or so
- Both DT's being off and on injured(having to start two rookies last week)
-Pierson Preilou out for the year

i mean, it definatly isnt as much as the Eagles of 05 faced, but the injuries to Pierson and Springs in our secondary really hurt us. I still think that if they were both 100%, our defense would be back to the way it looked the last two years

wait.... you still have S taylor and A Archawhtever! You have an ALL PRO secondary!:laugh2: :laugh2:

I almost feel sorry for skins fans. If the cowboy front office made the same stupid moves year after that the skins front office does........unthinkable

ummmm....have you already forgotten the past 7-8 years? We've made plenty of stupid moves which is what got us into the position we've been in.

but when you all are sitting in the same place as us in January, then whats the story going to be for you?

You all arn't going anywhere fast. Although that win over the texans looked good(hell, it even let mark brunell look good), you all are in trouble with bledsoe at the helm. He single handedly threw the game away against Philly. And this is the guy you all are holding hope for for the rest of the season?

are you going to sing this same song until january? our chances are much better of getting in the playoffs than yours at this point...... so why don't you just wait until january before you write us off....:D

I have no reason to backtrack. Being absolutely right 100% of the time on an internet message board just isn't that high on my priority list, but I seriously doubt I'm wrong. Beyond drive-by flamers who only come into stir the pot, create a flame thread, and never respond to anything (believe me, I'm sure one or two have done the same things I've seen at ES), I doubt any poster has decided to actually defend a position that the Skins are a SB bound.

Personally, I felt if stayed as healthy as we did last season we could win the division. Yet as the injuries mounted, especially Portis/Springs' injuries, my expectations began to drop from division champions to hoping for a wildcard. Right now, I know the team looks lost.

From the glass half-full perspective, the '05 Skins looked just as lost at 5-6 with 3 divisional games looming on the horizon. So there is hope, yet certain weaknesses have to be changed before that happens. Brunell needs to use the middle of the field, stop locking in on Moss so much, and use his other options. Saunders needs to stop trying to outhink every DC in the league and just run Portis in close games. Gregg Williams needs to unleash the blitz once more and zone up the secondary. Their getting beat consistently whether he blitzes or not, at least this way he can make some positive plays out of putting pressure on the quarterback. All of these things need to change, yet I only see possibly a few of them happening.

Depends.

If Dallas goes 9-7 and misses the playoffs due to Bledsoe's ineptness, I'll take that over the Skins if they go say 4-12 or 6-10. And oh yeah, Dallas would still likely end up with a better first round pick.

I'd still be concerned about Romo taking over and all in 2007, but at least I would have some comfort in the fact that the rest of the team, by and large, is pretty good.

True, nobody can realistically write you guys off right now. If the OL starts playing lights out, then Bledsoe could be dangerous with the weapons you have. As of now, I think Eagles are looking like the team to beat though.
