ARTICLE: Stick a fork in the 2006 Washington Commanders

If Plaxico, Amani Toomer, and Jeremy Shockey get into a rythmn ...it could be a long evening in your home stadium. I believe you have a real opportunity to take another step toward those playoffs you were talking about earlier.

It will really depend. If Tiki runs wild then something could happen. I suspect the Cowboys arn't going to let that happen as they setup the pass with the run. If the can't run the Giants wilt and die. The Cowboys are good at run defense, but then again so were the Falcons. I think the Falcons just misplayed the Giants. The Cowboys have the game tape. I doubt it will be a repeat performance.

are you covering your butt with this statement?

Just trying to convey a perspective from a fan who have seen the G-men up close this year. Meant, nor Intended no malice.

Why in God's name would I want to do that??

I mean, insanity might be contagious... I might be seized by a sudden urge to put on a dress and a pig's nose...

I always wondered why Skins fan wore dresses. This was even before Mrs Daniel Snyder bought the team. I guess if the shoe err dress fits. Wear it!

since when are safeties supposed to cover man to man?

Free safeties, like Taylor, are often called on to do exactly that...

If RW was put man on man again plaxico, i garuntee that he would get burned 9 out of 10 times as well.

Doubtful, but ultimately irrelevant, since Roy is a STRONG safety, while Sean is a FREE safety...

The fact is, with the situation that our corners are in, ST is playing more like a corner than anything else.

Right-- and doing it really, really badly...

You guys were REAL quick to criticize Roy when he had a subpar season (by his standards) when he was forced to play out of position at FS, don't come whining to me about how Sean's being forced to play out of position now...

And hey, how about that RUN defense?? You guys give up almost 200 yards to the freakin' TITANS??

Prior to that game, Tennessee was averaging 99.0 yards per game rushing... for the season, the Skins rank 28th in the NFL in carries allowed, with 176... that's over 29 carries a game against them...

A few injuries may be one thing, but the lack of productivity from even one of their big-money free agents has to be a significant factor as well.

Not to mention that Brunell looks like the 2004 version rather than 2005.

LOL! That board is wayyyy too big to take 10% of the population seriously. Some of them say some outrageous stuff that from just the thread title, I just refuse to click the link and take part in. I barely post there now because of the rollar coaster ride of emotions. A small portion of members gets the vast majority upset with their "we're the best team in the NFL" to "we absolutely suck!!!" threads that change during the course of a single game. I stick to the Tailgate and talk Wizards nowadays.

Do you ever dream about what the Wiz could do if they ever went out and got a freakin' CENTER??

Whatever, man. From the start I stated it specifically for this thread and said so. I don't think anyone else has in the forum, prove it if you want to. You're being petty, and childish with this weak "backtracking" and "spin control" BS.

I also expected that type of post from you, the difference between you and I is I don't feel the need to toot my horn about it on a message board. You want to prove me wrong, just do it, money is unneccessary. And for your information, regardless of the outcome mine is still bigger. :p:

EDIT: MUCH, MUCH, MUCH bigger.

I assume you're talking about your line of BS...

Don't ask, don't tell-- it works for soldiers, it works for Skins fans...

Either that, or the core of the Skins fan base are 14th Street tranny hookers... come to think of it, one or two of the "cheerleaders" in The Longest Yard looked like they might have pig snouts close at hand...

Personally, I'd much prefer it if P-T's butt remained covered in here...

:(

I hate you.

:)

No need for that, I'm one of you...

Been a Wizards fan since the Gus Johnson/ Earl Monroe days, back when they were still the Baltimore Bullets... remember Wes Unseld's rookie year...

Just gimme a real banger to lean on Shaq and block a few shots, and I could coach the Wizards to the Eastern Conference finals...

I'd simply take a center who didn't fumble every pass or shoot fadeaways 3 feet away from the rim. Damn you Brenda Haywood!!!

Dude...don't get me started....:(

I feel the EXACT same way when the subject is Peter Flippin' Angelos and my beloved Orioles...

He SAYS they're gonna spend some money this year to get competitive again... SAYS that they're gonna add a big bat to protect Tejada, a front-line starter, and revamp the bullpen... SAYS that the Birds are gonna revamp that miserable bullpen...

But he's long on talk, short on delivery... at least with the Wizards, we've got Ernie Grunfeld giving them some sense of direction... I like his ability to evaluate talent...

BTW, did ya hear that Jared Jeffries has already gotten hurt for the Knicks?? I'm thinking his problem was too many seasons in close proximity to Jarvis Hayes...

I'm looking forward to seeing Darius Songaila in a Wiz uniform, he seems ideally suited for the offensive scheme they're running... ditto for Dwayne Stephenson, who is the type of perimeter defender they definitely needed...

But most of all, I'm REAL intrigued to see how Andray Blatche has developed... he was pretty dominant in the summer leagues...

Thank goodness they gave Arenas another reason to get pissed this year. US team snub, you're on notice.
