Thank goodness they gave Arenas another reason to get pissed this year. US team snub, you're on notice.

I think Gilbert would have come in real handy in that loss to Greece...

I dont think the Skins are through yet, but I think their season is on the line this Sunday at Indy. Not a good place to have to go to save your season.

However, if the Skins could upset Indy their record goes to 3-4 and their confidence level would sky rocket thus possibly saving their season.

I dont see it happening and even if it were to happen they still have a difficult road happen but not an impossible road.

I just do not get for the life of me how the "majority" of Skins fans are on board with trading draft picks for veterans?

That will ultimately be their downfall and Joe Gibbs as well. I have seen well respected Skins posters on ES who swear that trading draft picks for proven middle of the road players is a great thing.

The NFL has always been about building your team through the draft and filling holes when necessary through FA or trades not the other way around.

When the Skins realize the error of their ways only then will they be a real threat to be good on a consitent basis IMO.

Whatever, man. From the start I stated it specifically for this thread and said so. I don't think anyone else has in the forum, prove it if you want to. You're being petty, and childish with this weak "backtracking" and "spin control" BS.

I also expected that type of post from you, the difference between you and I is I don't feel the need to toot my horn about it on a message board. You want to prove me wrong, just do it, money is unneccessary. And for your information, regardless of the outcome mine is still bigger. :p:

EDIT: MUCH, MUCH, MUCH bigger.
Oh, boo freaking hoo. Need a Kleenex? A pacifier maybe? Blankie?

Does it hurt to talk out of both sides of your face like that 2nd paragraph and edit? Or is the 2nd voice not from your face?

When he declared for the Draft, many hearts here in Wildcat land were broken. He was a joy to watch play college ball. Ran into him one time at the bank. What a nice kid. IMO the Wiz have a true gem in that kid.

wait, but when the skins go to the playoffs last year is it thought of as nothing?

You're in a "what have you done for me lately?" league. Seriously, would anybody care if the Skins went to the playoffs in '05 if they go 4-12 in '06?

Better example.

At the end of 2004, did anybody care that Dallas went to the playoffs in '03 despite going 6-10 the next season?

In the end, it was hardly anything to hang your hat on. It was nice to have, but it really didn't mean anything in the end.

The big difference is when you look to the future, Dallas would still look better off given that they have much younger players, more cap room, and more draft picks than the Commanders.

But keep hoping, because hell, isnt that what football is about.

You ought to be REALLY familiar with this concept. And while you want to call out our QB, and "helpless safety" as you put it (probably the way you rationalize all the skidmarks on sean taylor, he's "helpless"), the bottom line is this:

Your team is bad. Period. Across the board. No downfield passing game, no identity on offense (are you arena league w all the screens and reverses or a grind it out on the ground nfl team?), shaky pass blocking, no pass rush, weak, weak secondary that can't cover man-to-man (the reason why your blitzing is way down) and horrible tacklers.

Wait, there's more: only a couple of young players to build with - none in the skill positions and none on defense except Skidmark Sean, and two or three draft picks in next years draft (for now anyway, you may trade those away too).

Pour on top of all this the fact that your savior, Joe Gibbs, has come back to resurrect the franchise and been so successful that this year he has turned over to another guy the aspect of the team be made his hall-of-fame beans on - the offense.

Man. Hope is all you got.

Do you ever dream about what the Wiz could do if they ever went out and got a freakin' CENTER??

i dream every year that they would go out and get one. They have a lot of talent on the team, but that is the main problem they have

Yeah, Cowboys got the rookie blues in the Philly game with Watkins.

Right-- and doing it really, really badly...

You guys were REAL quick to criticize Roy when he had a subpar season (by his standards) when he was forced to play out of position at FS, don't come whining to me about how Sean's being forced to play out of position now...

switching from FS to corner is completly different than switchin SS to FS

I've heard this excuse. But, from what I hear is those rookie defensive tackles actually played pretty well. It was your linebackers who sucked in the game because Henry got most of his yards outside of the tackles and not between them.

I have the utmost respect for Arenas. He is such a class act. He is always around the community do this or than and helping out. He even adopted a boy whos mom died in a car accident. I couldnt be happier to have the wizards led by a guy like him

Warrick Holdman got his butt handed to him in that game. All they did was run to his side everytime.

Things are definitely stacking up well against the Colts.

The only way you're beating them is if you get 50 rushes, and control the ball for 50 minutes.
