Like I said in an earlier post, I’ve not seen Bellichick, Payton, McVay, or even an OC like McDaniels do goofy stuff like this. I know the commercial is not a reflection of his abilities to function in his job, but to me, when you are 29 years old and trying to be taken seriously and break into the fraternity of high level NFL coaches, image is important.
Just curious, how do you know what they did just starting out and when Belichick started coaching wasn't the high paying profession it is today. Maybe they weren't given the opportunity Moore was and none of those guys you mentioned are considered the hometown hero he is and Boise St players are treated with a lot of affection and respect in Boise. They are proud that they come to play for them.
BTW, two of those coaches you listed have been suspended and their teams punished for their actions and another backed out on a job at the 11th hour. Yep, great models for comparison.
Moore seems like a good and decent man and his involvement with child abuse is well known. He has volunteered his time for endorsing and promoting worthy causes.
Hell, we get someone new on the job with some REAL questions about how he's going to do and he's not into the job a week when his boss puts him in virgin territory for a coach and we dig up ads he's done for a car dealer to rag on him?
He is new and will probably have some growing pains and he doesn't have the best structure in place for the learning curve in this job with so little experience but there is no Cowboy I am rooting harder for than this young man. And no coach, except maybe his HC, is going to be in the bright lights more than him. Tough job made tougher by his owner.
