Bashing Jerry

I actually think your off a little bit. I am fine with all the blame jerry gets, alot I think he deserves.

I am just starting to believe that he may only be the face of alot of the things that go on. And by that I mean I think he has his kids doing almost all of the work and he is like the spokesperson. It seems from listening and watching that Charlotte anderson plays a large part in the marketing and promotion end along with Jerry jr.

then stephen jones plays a large role in personell, he is the team vice president and handles the contracts and the cap.

I actually believe at this point that the other jones are deserving in some of the blame and some of the credit and probably alot more than most of us think on all this stuff.

I have mixed emotions on jerry. Some things I like, Some things I dont like and some things I flat out do not understand. But recently I have to wonder if things would be any different had he said I am stepping down and stephen, charlotte and Jr. took over.

For instance I have liked some things I hear about stephen jones, but at the same time He is listed as having over seen every element of the construction of stadium, that includes working with the city and the government meanwhile being the guy who is responsible for all 400 employees of the team........and also being a large role player in scouting and player personnel.

so my question is how is that different from Jerry? And I honestly mean this. Everyone griped that jerry didnt have time to be gm, owner, ceo, stadium builder and personnel guy but that is exactly what stephen is doing too.

And in that offseason heading into 09 everything was about the stadium and we end up with an absolutely horrible draft. Was this because the front office portion of the family was tied up in stadium and city issues?

Dont kill me I am just asking. And I am asking because it seems to me the three kids who run this organization are actually the ones doing everything while jerry is kind of the face and the spokesperson.

Makes me nervous about the future. Like I said I am just wondering aloud and have always thought highly of stephen, but when you connect the dots I am not so sure the apple is much different than the tree it fell from.

Man you won't believe how wrong I hope you are. Here is why. If the "kids" are any thing like daddy we need to fear the future. All my hopes are they are nothing like daddy.

One thing we do know about Jerry is he IS the final say on every thing. We know it because he says it, over and over. If that's the case it all falls at his feet. What we have heard is Stephen doesn't always agree with Jerry's decisions and he will fight it out with him.
That is where my hopes are, that Stephen is biding time with some of us fans.

I'm sure Jerry piled on the work load to his people through all the designing and build of the stadium. Jerry probably held fast on the marketing That's what a good CEO would do.

If Jerry (our GM) was spending to much time worrying about building, marketing, pizza commercials posing with girls a third his age and ignoring the draft, he is the GM some of us think.

That's where we have the conflict. Our CEO could care less about the product on the field but he's keeping the business in the brightest spot light.
Our GM is wanting to win, keep us in that same spotlight but won't admit he doesn't know how to fix the problem. Maybe hiring JG will solve the problem.
I don't know. I do know we have heard all the same special before.

I'm just hoping the kids take over soon and some thing changes.

Jerry should have the final say on things. He's the owner and the GM. Most places are like that. Donald trump. Oprah. Bill gates.

So he's done a good job as CEO only because he's in "Jerryworld" I'm not sure what your saying.

As far as the Oline goes, you can't have all pros at every position. Look at the o line the steelers took to the SB his year. You think they have a better Oline? This is a players league. Players have to perform. You can't play madden and hit homeruns at every position.

Still waiting to know the GM you want here.

So your of the opinion our O line is set, we just need coaching? Ummmm ok.
Yeah I would say the Steelers O line is better than ours. To me you just can't ignore the positions for years on end.

Couldn't tell you who I would want at GM. I just know banging your head on the same wall for a decade and a half doesn't work. If nothing changes three years from now will you still be singing Jerry's love song?

I find it hilarious how many fans here still blindly support Jerry Jones. After 15 years ineptitude you can still say with a straight face that he is a good GM.

You see theres the issue I have with your thought process. I dnt see where you've studied the other jobs other gms have done. By not being able to tell me who you would like to have it makes me think you are judging Jerry's GM work unfairly because you don't know what the track records of the other options are.

I find it unfortunately and insane that people here claim they are fans and do nothing but blindly bash Jerry. If it's been 15 years of ineptitude and Jerry can't do anything right, he ain't going anywhere and you're probably in for another 10-20 years of ineptitude. So the question becomes, why are you here?

Are you a masochist? Are you a glutton for punishment? Are you seeking attention by becoming a contrarian?

Trump doesn't draw up the blueprints of the buildings he finances. He's a businessman who accepts the fact that he's also not an engineer. Jerry on the other hand ...

I said that very same thing to a Jerry backer on here 4 years ago and he's still a backin' Jerry.

Very well written.

They blindly bash Jerry without seeing the other gm's work. They are judging one GM based on standards they hold no others up to.

So now Jerry drew up the blueprints huh? Lmao. Wow! Jerry built the stadium but I'm pretty sure he didn't design the blueprints.

I guarantee you I an architect comes into Donald's office with some blueprints he doesn't like, he will turn them right around and send them outthe door.

Imagine going to a restaurant where the owner is the chef. Then every week you tell your friends how bad this chef is and how his food sucks and how his food will never be any good until he gives it up. But this chef has made it clear as long as he's alive and healthy he's giong to continue to be the chef.

But you keep going to the restaurant only to keep complaining about the food and saying how bad the owner/chef sucks.

After awhile your motives are clear...you're not coming for the food, you're addicted to hating on the chef/owner. And you look like a nutjob for continuing to do it.

It's easy to pick the top GMs. Why name them? I'm a fan of THIS team, I was a fan the day Jerry bought it. I liked the idea of a young tough coach ala Jimmy. Then I watched it all unfold same as you. You still claim he knows what hes doing, how I have no clue. I claim different, I have fifteen years of proof, all the coaching changes, all the worthless player trades, all the overcompensated players all the thug players he could muster and all the loyalties to staff that haven't performed either.

Your watching some thing different than I am. The problem is I realize we are stuck for a while and there is nothing we can do about it. I just won't prop him up as being a good GM. You realize the same thing but are going against common sense.

Um, yes. He's the ****ing GM, right? Therefore he's the one who buys the groceries, be it draft or free agency. He literally assembles a team not unlike an engineer planning and assembling a structure.

I guarantee you I an architect comes into Donald's office with some blueprints he doesn't like, he will turn them right around and send them outthe door.

That's because Trump and his hypothetical engineer are two different people. Jerry would never send himself "right out the door."

That restaurant would close. Big huge difference.

Do you even listen to what Jerry says are are you that stuck up his rear you can't hear him? He has said time and time again, he was a big part of every thing that stadium is. Is he lying? Are you so dense that you don't think he sat in meeting after meeting from the very first time an architect or engineer drew the first line.

I'm sure Jerry simply put the cash up and gave control of the design and build of the stadium to who ever. I heard he was in Mexico with Romo and Witten.

Oh brother. Wanting the stadium to "look" a certain way does not make him an engineer. "Interior decorator" is probably closer to the truth. I'm sure they explained to him in layman's terms what was and was not structurally possible, but that's a far cry from "drawing up the blueprints." Someone far more knowledgeable than himself did that.

LOL I know that. But every one knows he was there every step of the way.

Oh you didn't know Jerry was an ace at geometry and engineering to go along with his proficient NFL GM expertise.

So were lots of other people. They're not engineers either.
