My opinion? Colleges do not scout for enough pure pocket passers for the spread offense. They target the quarterbacks we're watching tonight instead. Can't fault the strategy if you can win with it.

Yeah, I don't fault the spread offense itself but if I were a young QB with dreams of being successful in the NFL, I'd steer well clear of any team that ran it.

That's why McDaniel is no longer employed... and Tebow had more experience than Newton...

I live in Longhorn Country, but I knew Vince Young would be a bust in the first...
Agreed, but this is the draft we're discussing. It's the same college-to-the-pros outlet where someone like JaMarcus Russell can cash in against all odds.

Isn't this a point in which people would be all over D. Ware for not making a game changing play? Where is Nick Fairley?

I called Russell as the biggest bust ever when he was drafted...

How can we see this and NFL "experts" can't...

True. My high school alma mater won three straight state championships running it this past decade.

Is the college rule similar to the nfl rule? Nfl has an ankle or side of the foot as down.

don't tell me that BS play is going to decide the championship

Wrist = down. The game other other night showed that.

Edit: Or was that an nfl game....

The experts hope to mold Cinderella out of the roughest clay.

And this admission comes from a true LSU fan. :)
