There's about as much substance to that being a hate crime as there is Zimmerman being guilty of such, but EVERYONE takes the marginal Zimmerman evidence to heart.

I don't think the fat guy's taking of Travvon's life was a hate crime but it was racially motivated in that he only followed or was suspicious of Travvon because he was black.
