From a monetary stance he won’t regret but he will not be happy in college. Very surprised he took the job

Not sure BB was ever happening in Dallas anyway. There's too much talk of MM returning. I am thinking it is getting out there because JJ wants it to get out there. Where there's smoke there is usually fire.

Belichick becoming a college coach is frankly laughable. Can you imagine this guy sitting in the living room of some 18yo 5-star recruit, and hearing out his demands for millions in NIL money and guaranteed playing time? That goes against everything he's ever done.

The only thing I can think of is that he's doing this for his son.

He is hiring a recruitment team. He will not be the one recruiting

I agree. I believe he leaves before the season begins and his son becomes coach

We’ve heard a lot of names dropped with different scenarios about coaching. Bill Belichick historically has been a great NFL coach. But he is not a match for college ball. As it pertains to the Cowboys, we’ve heard names dropped like Aikman Sanders, and Witten. All of these great past Cowboys players, but none of them have the personality to coach the Dallas Cowboys except perhaps Deion Sanders but overall, I question his coaching ability at the NFL level.

1. We dodged a bullet. Bill is cooked.
2. He will probably get caught naked at a sorority party.

Haven't read the entire thread, BUT if UNC goes through with this deal with BB, heads will roll a couple of years later, almost guaranteed.

The AD of UNC let M Brown go by phone when the AD was in Hawaii because Mac would have stayed until they found someone. Totally did the man wrong.

BB getting up to 12 million a year with a guarantee that his defensive coach (son) at Washington is the next head coach?? BB never coached in college, is he going to to the work recruiting in state as he needs to do as a head coach? Even if he just has to close the deal, that's a lot of driving on his end. He sent 400 pages of a "gameplan" on what he wants to do and spend? This sounds like him asking for the world figuring UNC would say no anyways, and they actually may agree to everything?

This whole deal is beyond stupid. Don't know anyone personally who went to UNC, but know more than a couple of people that went to NC state. Their opinion is the same as mine, this is nothing but a publicity stunt.
Disgraceful the guy put unc football on the map during his first stint and is a class act. He deserved much better.

If Bill can do it, then a y of us can accept the Cowboys job and wait for Booger to approve the contract.

I'm in. Call me Booger. No sleepovers though.

He's 72 and over the hill. It takes balls to want your son (who have never played football and only got his NFL job because of his dad) to be required to take over the program when you're gone.

His record without Brady is 83-101.

Also UNC is going to 20 million in NIL money from their 5 million. Add that to the 10 million a year for 3 year Bill gets, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that UNC got taken to the cleaners.

They fricken play in ACC for God's sake.

Yeah, kids will flock to play for the guy, it will last one year, and then UNC will be scratching their heads "what have we done". Then UNC will find out that Bill doesn't like the recruiting game and what it entails, and of course other guys will do it for him.

His name is only going to last so long putting UNC "on the map" (about a year). However, have no doubt, he's going to produce NFL players because he has a 400 page manifesto laying out the groundwork!

I'll give them credit though, they really went all in ! LMAO

I didn't see a topic on this. Anyone who had Belichick on their Christmas list can cross him off. He accepted terms to becomes the coach of UNC. Personally, I didn't think he would be the next Cowboys HC. I am betting McCarthy remains in Dallas and gets a 3-year contract. That's how stupid Jerry is. But hey, what's 3 more years tacked onto the already 29 years we've had to painfully endure.
