Best QB Game

I wouldn't until it got to be Elway vs. Montana and then only to be consistent. I think Elway is the best QB ever to play the game. I respect other opinions though. That's why I haven't questioned anyone's opinions. Staubach is my all time favorite player and if he had not had to give 5 years to the US Navy I might rank him above Elway and Montana. But as it stands I have always had him as 3rd behind them.
That's pretty much my thinking. I'm not sure if we'll ever see another QB as physically gifted as Elway. It wasn't all about his ability either, he knew how to translate his skills into success on the football field.

Everyone can have his own opinion, of course, but I'd be curious to know why people would give Joe Montana a minus.

chocolate, i don't deny montana his place in NFL history. i do think he was the epitome of a system quarterback. whether or not he could accomplish the things he accomplished elsewhere is at least debateable (in my opinion).

montana is deserving of the 64 votes he has here. however, having watched all of the dodger's career i personally don't think anyone else is close to him (even when th 5-yr military stint is accounted for).

i start an expansion franchise today, i put roger under center. i want to win one game, i win or lose with the dodger.

and you're right, it is just an opinion...:)

p.s. while aikman was very good, i'm not sure i see him in this lofty company...

I know Hos, I even contemplated sending you a private message negotiating a different AGAINST vote until we get further along in the process so we could help our guys out!!!! :)

Negotiations...I love it!

The top 4 here are all in my top-5: 1. Graham, 2. Unitas, 3. Staubach, 4. Baugh, 5. Montana (only Sammy Baugh is missing and he wasn't a contestant in this game).
