doesnt EVERY TEAM need a playoff caliber QB? name me one team in the league today worth a damn with a 15 or below QB? Your schtick is so old. Yea, they likely keep him. Yea, he likely gets paid the most. Yea.... it is what it is because Dak is a greedy SOB. How do you know Jerry didnt offer Dak 55 million 5 months ago?
Teams make the playoffs with bum QBs all the time. Last year Flacco, Pickett, Mayfield all made it as far or further than the cowboys.

Agreed. Dak is proving he's super greedy and out to milk the Cowboys for all he can. No discounts coming from Dak. I can not, nor will not, defend his team-hurting greediness!

I'm just excited that the new season is starting. I love it and it is fun having a good team.

I can't correlate the negative that you are suggesting and imposing on finding a nice kicker.
I just have an issue when this team has a hole and they wait until the last minute. For instance they addressed RB by avoiding it in the draft, free agency….and settle for Zeke….it’s stupid. If it works? Great. But it’s stupid IMO. Contenders don’t fox holes like this. They are much more proactive.

You have to factor in that it’s still daks call at the end of the day. I bet he’s gone.
Lol. People don't turn down market-value deals.

I expect the hangup is years - Dak's deal is a little different -- Love and Tua are going to be up for a 3rd contract relatively young. This is Dak's third contract -- he likely wants short term to hit the market again at 35 or 36 whereas we likely want to sign the longest deal possible.

Don't tell me you are starting to think about things differently?? Uber-homers do that to sane people.. hah
I’ve always kept this same energy lol. I don’t know what the hell Rambo going about I’m a Homer but I don’t get how even homers aren’t pissed about how things have gone.

When the time comes I wouldn’t bet against Dak becoming the richest Cowboy player ever.

That probably isn’t a path to the Super Bowl, but it avoids the path to complete uncertainty.

And for all of his professional tolerance for ambiguity , Jethro isn’t starting from scratch at QB anytime soon.

Our dysfunctional ownerships insistence on remaining “ relative and interesting “ hedges on a playoff caliber Franchise QB regardless the implications thereof .
The path of uncertainty is better than a path of certainty NO chance at a Superbowl. The reported money that Dak, Lamp, and Parsons want will take half of the salary cap. You can't build a Superbowl team with 3 players using half of the cap. This team has ran it's course.

I think he’s likely looking at the $65m he could make by waiting 8 months.
Maybe, but the highest paid now is $55 million per year, I think it's might nigh impossible any team would give Dak $65 million, that's a $10 million jump over the current high, the previous jump was like $2-3 million.

We hear the $60 million figure for Dak constantly, but he only has to get $56 million to be the new highest paid player in the league.
