When the time comes I wouldn’t bet against Dak becoming the richest Cowboy player ever.

That probably isn’t a path to the Super Bowl, but it avoids the path to complete uncertainty.

And for all of his professional tolerance for ambiguity , Jethro isn’t starting from scratch at QB anytime soon.

Our dysfunctional ownerships insistence on remaining “ relative and interesting “ hedges on a playoff caliber Franchise QB regardless the implications thereof .
..who else do we plug in at QB? Lance and Rush arent it. Unless they made huge trade with a team. KInda like what Rams/Lions did, they traded QBs.

Until then, yes Dak is going to get that contract. Jones family have always played it safe.

I'm pretty sure that team Dak wanted all of the other qbs to sign 1st and then do their deal. The smoke is there that a deal is coming. A blind man can smell it.

I would hope a blind man could smell smoke otherwise that would really suck in a house fire.

DAK would have to take what jones boys offered him, which no one knows, but it probably isnt 56+.
I dont think dak will take that, so I think he isnt signed .He will go for the FA status.

Plus jerry can watch him play this season, and then sign him after season but before march.,

Then why won't just come out and say what he is going to do? Either crap or get off the pot.

It seems his decisions are as slow as his decisions on the football field.
He’s under contract for this season. He’s indicated what he’s going to do. Honor the contract he signed. He can’t make himself an offer. He’s not going to state a number as it could adversely affect any bidding by teams when he’s a free agent. He Knows the position he’s in. The only team that can speak to his agent is the Dallas Cowboys. It’s up to the Cowboys to sign Dak. It’s not up to Dak to sign up with the Cowboys.

Under any circumstance he still has to offer Dak a contract Dak wants to sign. He’s a free agent on March 12. it’s not like Dak ever has to sign a contract with the Cowboys if he doesn’t feel like it. The NFL is in the United States.

That’s if Jethro isn’t willing to pay Prescott what he wants . If 60 which I’ve heard mentioned is what we’re offering and he wants more then yea it’s his decision.
Regardless it is his decision.

No, didn't you hear Jerry anoint this the era of ambiguity? That's because Jerry doesn't want to have to explain why he is going to let Dak play out his contract without an extension. Unless Dak gets us to a Super Bowl, Jerry is going to let him walk in 2025. Ambiguity allows Jerry to remain silent about this plan.

The word on the street in Dallas is if we don’t get a deal done by September , Dak is gone .

In other words if he has to prove his value this season he feels he’s not wanted anymore and will play out his contract seeking to move on in FA regardless any offer by Cowboys.

Wouldn’t it be fitting if he finally broke thru to a championship game and he tells us Adios. Which is basically what we’d deserve IMO.

Dak is a professional, he will play out his contract to the best of his ability thus showing his next employer what a class act he is.

Their plan has been to build through the draft and they have won 12 games 3 years in a row and very well could do that again this year with the possibility of advancing in the playoffs.
Yes they are about 80% there. I wish they'd make a small adaptation and get a couple key FAs to get over the hump. Especially since they've proven to struggle drafting DTs. The 12 games is cool, but I see no progress from 12 games 3 years ago to 12 games vs the Packers, did you?

doesnt EVERY TEAM need a playoff caliber QB? name me one team in the league today worth a damn with a 15 or below QB? Your schtick is so old. Yea, they likely keep him. Yea, he likely gets paid the most. Yea.... it is what it is because Dak is a greedy SOB. How do you know Jerry didnt offer Dak 55 million 5 months ago?
