I hope he breaks the bank just to see all of the people have mental breakdown ls on this site. B
You really hate the rest of the team, don't you.

Personally I won't give a damn if he stays or goes. The real problem is still sitting in the owners box.

No team has ever done what Dallas would do by letting Prescott walk. Closest would be Cousins in Washington, but they were pretty clear about not trying very hard to keep him
Yeah most competent FOs would have a plan in place and find a way to aquire assets for their franchise qb. We'll either over pay or let him walk.

I honestly don’t think that being the highest paid qb is what Dak is after. I think he’s out to truly reset the market and get every last dime he can.
This a 1000% and this is the straw that has changed Jerry's view/attitude about him IMO. I mean it doesn't take an expert to see both sides are ticked with each other.

It’s hard to say who’s ticked without knowing the numbers or what’s being offered. I think Dakota is over Dallas just assumption on my part. He’s having to fight for contracts when other guys are getting blank checks.

Their plan has been to build through the draft and they have won 12 games 3 years in a row and very well could do that again this year with the possibility of advancing in the playoffs.

Yeah Cousins for sure would’ve been better options then Howell, Haskins…
Read this ............list of Commanders QBs post-Cousins
This is why we should be careful what we wish for........and yes I understand the frustration with the money Dak is asking. I'm not sure many fans appreciate we have a QB who is nearly guaranteeing us a playoff spot with a setback of 2-3 years.

It looks like they will sign Dak and Lamb which will keep keep the Cowboys good this year and in the future.

I have heard/read this many times from various types ( GMs, players, agents, hell even Stephen once said it ) in NFL circles.

When the time comes I wouldn’t bet against Dak becoming the richest Cowboy player ever.

That probably isn’t a path to the Super Bowl, but it avoids the path to complete uncertainty.

And for all of his professional tolerance for ambiguity , Jethro isn’t starting from scratch at QB anytime soon.

Our dysfunctional ownerships insistence on remaining “ relative and interesting “ hedges on a playoff caliber Franchise QB regardless the implications thereof .
I don't believe Dak wants to be the highest paid player on a losing team. Jerry has already made the comment, that he has not always been able to buy everything he wants and it is up to Dak.

I don't believe it is just about money and Dak can be bought. Dak wants a fair deal and an opportunity to win. It is in his best interest to wait and see what other teams are interested in him next year.

The Steelers I think are an interesting team for Dak to consider if they have interest.

He should sign Dak, Jerry has only taken 1 qb in the first round. He lucked out with Romo and Dak. He will believe he is smarter than everyone else and try to find an UDFA or from a later round.

Dak may not have won it all, but he wins lots of games and keeps eyes locked in on Sundays.

If you like watching noon games with Charles Davis and Adam Archuleta on Sundays, that will be the norm. Romo, Brady and Aikman will retire before they do a Cowboys game.
