It's logic more than proof. Too many whispers by people like Fisher that his camp is in that ballpark. It makes sense that ownership is sort of balking, if that is their asking price. We'll find out I guess...
I don't know, I just feel like they should stick with their plans. Let him play through the year. If he's not happy with that, maybe he asks to be traded.

This thread isnt about what we’d do or want but of what our ownership will do and or why, etc.
Our Anti-Daksters make every thread about Dak..... I love it! Nothing good to watch on TV this time of year...it's great entertainment...I picture some of these guys sitting in their basements throwing darts at their Dak postes... and, sticking pins in their Jerry voodoo doll. I love it!
Reminds me of the mob going after Frankenstein....

I love how it bothers you so much that you comment on every thread ....... that all you do is defend Dak and Jerry now 24/7

Walls are closing in

It’s obvious Dak has already been infected with the ‘you owe it to other players to take the most you can get’ thing, which I don’t begrudge him of…..but there isn’t gonna be any discount Jerry. Either pay up or he is gone. You aren’t getting a refund for the past when you were the one that overestimated who he was and what he was capable of to begin with.

Jerry’s idea of what motivates people in todays league is way off track. Kind of like Garrett’s tactics or whatever….about a half decade behind the times. At least.

Hopefully Dak goes to another organization and gets to be mediocre over there. Enough of this.

The one and only reason Dak would want to leave is to chase the bag.

This BS about him wanting to leave to try and win a championship is just that. BS.
Isn't 57 million a year in Dallas a big enough bag?

It was stupid too and it worked. I’m not saying it won’t work. I’m just saying this is not how you run a franchise. You don’t waste second round picks on tight ends….sure it may work but it’s not smart.
How was signing an outstanding kicker stupid? If they were stupid they wouldn't be winning 37 games over the last 3 years.

You'd have to ask Dak that. Not sure what your point is though. If he has been offered anything it obviously wasn't enough.

My point was more directed at the fanciful assertion that playing on a legit contender is a major driving force in the decision making process. Dak is not taking a "contender discount" just like he's not taking a home town discount.

Everything is pointing to him signing this week. It makes sense. They just waited to let all the others sign and then sign their deal.

Again, not sure what this has to do with the point being made.

I have no idea what's going to happen. Could go either way. From where I'm sitting there is just as much, if not more, pointing to him playing out the season without an extension. At Jerry's desire.

What is the best piece of evidence you have to suggest he'll be signed this week?

The smoke is there. It makes sense. They both want to do the deal now. It won't be long.

Putting your season on the line on a USFL kicker was stupid. Sometime stupidity gets rewarded. I don’t care about winning regular season games why do you keep mentioning this? Why don’t you mention how many playoff games they’ve won in that span?

The only sure bet is that Dak will be the highest paid QB in the league when he signs his contract but the longer this drags on, the less likely he will be signing that contract with the Cowboys. If he doesn’t have a new extension by the season opener, this will be his swan song with the Cowboys.

What we are hearing is that talks are going good and offers are being made.
