What we are hearing is that talks are going good and offers are being made.
What you hear and what is actually going on are two different things. Time is running out to get him extended. Once we set sail during the regular season, it’s very likely he will walk when he becomes a free agent.

I'll go with, they are signing him. I believe an offer is on the table and the reports are true.

Show us the reports. Don't say go find them yourself, you provide them because I have not read anything really positive at all. Get on it...

Show you? P. Walker just tweeted that Dak and Lamb both got new offers from the Cowboys.

Putting your season on the line on a USFL kicker was stupid. Sometime stupidity gets rewarded. I don’t care about winning regular season games why do you keep mentioning this? Why don’t you mention how many playoff games they’ve won in that span?
Brandon Aubrey finished as the best kicker in the league.

When the time comes I wouldn’t bet against Dak becoming the richest Cowboy player ever.

That probably isn’t a path to the Super Bowl, but it avoids the path to complete uncertainty.

And for all of his professional tolerance for ambiguity , Jethro isn’t starting from scratch at QB anytime soon.

Our dysfunctional ownerships insistence on remaining “ relative and interesting “ hedges on a playoff caliber Franchise QB regardless the implications thereof .
Decision is still Dak's and not Jerry's.

A tweet from Walker is a legit report. Are you saying that you don't believe it?
To you, of course it is. Everything is hunky dory in your make believe world you live in.

Carry on, tweet boy.

Talks going good, offers being made, all others signed, predictions of a signing being made. A lot of smoke.
The "talks going good" line always cracks me up. What the heck does that even mean? Everyone's pronunciation is spot on? They aren't spitting all over each other? Talks can be called "going good" when the signatures start getting written out. Until then the talks are just going, and there probably isn't much talking going on beyond "here's our offer", "here is our counter offer".

Are offers being made? You know this? If so, why does that mean it ends with a signing? A lowball offer could actually make "talks go bad".

Others being signed and predictions by those who know nothing more than we do are irrelevant.

Many of Jerry's comments, and even Dak's, seem to indicate it would be very optimistic to anticipate a signing this week, or this season.

The odds become slimmer he’ll be extended the longer this goes. We’ve just seen two huge QB contracts get signed the first week of training camp. If it’s going to happen with Dak, it’s got to happen soon. It’s really going to come down to whether he wants to stay in Dallas because if he goes to free agency, he’ll get a lot more money. They’re talking $65 million if he becomes a free agent. The Cowboys aren’t going to pay that much and they may not want to pay $60 million, so it’s going to come down to whether Dak wants to remain with the Cowboys. Jerry said during his presser this will be Dak’s decision. All the leverage is in his corner. I firmly believe the Cowboys want to extend him, because they have nothing behind him, but it’s going to come down to whether Dak will be willing to take less than what he could get in free agency. I’m not sure he will.

He may want a fresh start with someone else. The majority of the fanbase wants him to leave and he knows it. It’s not a healthy situation when your QB is constantly being bashed and heckled by the fans. I was at training camp last summer and he was being heckled. He made a recent comment that the fans need to get over the Green Bay loss. He’s sounding like he’s fed up with the fans and the majority are obviously are fed up with him. If he was going to re-sign with the Cowboys, you would’ve thought it would’ve been sooner than this. Having to deal with CeeDee’s holdout and trying to re-sign Dak has got to be weighing heavily on the Joneses. This is the most dire situation they’ve been in involving contracts.

Why do you hate money?
I would love to know what you know. I would love nothing more than Dak having to play for his supper. Let him play out this year, and reevaluate after it's over. After we crash and burn, let some dumb GM pay him 60M a year or more. I just don't think that's going to happen.

That would be the most logical thing to do. Let Dak play out this year, if he does good, like really good, pay the dude, but if he sucks then let him hit the bricks.

It would be stupid to extend him for big money before the season starts and he comes out and craps the bed would be a bad move. But then again, we have our HOF GM in charge.

Drink up. Johnny Walker in the house.

I agree. At this point, what do you have to gain by paying him now? Let him play.

That’s if Jethro isn’t willing to pay Prescott what he wants . If 60 which I’ve heard mentioned is what we’re offering and he wants more then yea it’s his decision.

This is the most common shariat in I’ve heard from local media. If a deal isn’t done by start of season, he’s gone .

There’s no playing for results of this year.
